Hi all, I'm 5 weeks into flowering and my older leaves are turning yellow and wilting. I'm guessing it's root rot because I see roots growing out of the pots and into the autovalves. I've inceased the light, I've added more fans and put air rocks in the Autovalves. I also cut back on the Fluids. My ph is 6.0 and my PPM is 950. I've leached the pots and I don't know what else I can do. Any suggestions welcome. CD
normal for older leaves to start doing that towards end of flowering. have you completely eliminated Nitrogen from their diet ?
I'm not sure, I use Liquid Earth, it uses a base and a formular for Veg and one for Flower. I also have all their other products or trace eloements additives, I'll have to check each one and see. Thanks CD
its cool CD, your plants are just flowering.. Dont panic!!! I used to do that alot and still do sometimes if lower yellow starts to get to high. But Ive long learned its normal. Just as your tops will start wilting off and tip curls as you flush and dry out before pullings.. I usually rinse soil and let it totally dry out in the end of rippening. With cold induced indoors if thats the weather. I prefer to harvy indoors during cooler months.
I treat them like a fruit, 20mi of Vigor and 40MI of bloom per gallon as the instructions say. I get a reading of 950 PPM using that mixture.
Now that I have flushed them, how long do I let them go without Fluids. I've been misting with a mild solution for a long time, I'm stopping that for now. Thanks CD
yeah I would not mist them anymore. Im sorry you had to deal with this, If you had a soil medium, Id see recovery in a day or 2. but since you dont. I dont know what to tell you.. I had a major burn and recovered by flushing, and major soil aggitation. It was a muddy mess for a few days, and even worse was the weight of the containers I had to move to a tub to drain. Talk about heavy!!! I then moved hid lights to the bathroom
Evening all, I've been advised I have root rot, Nuit lockout go to a PH of 5.3, feed it more, feed it less, don't feed it at all. I've leached with distilled water until it ran clear, I've added air to the valves, lights and fans. I brought the PH down to 5.8 I'm going to let them dry out good and start feeding again. I'll bet it's lockout. How come it took over 4 months for all the valves to malfunction if that's the case. I'm just nervious, I have a lot riding on finishing this grow. I want to do it right, I don't want to be forced to harvest, plus I'll learn something. Thanks to all CD
CD sounds very industrious, This late in grow I just pick the old (yellowed) leaves, 'cause that means they've used up all the sugars ergo. food they stored up during the plant's life. Leaves need to be culled all through growth and flower cycles to allow more light to reach the center and bottom leaves. As to nutes one should quit feeding the girls all except water about 2 weeks before harvest, I usually stop too soon and end up harvesting as much as 6weeks after,>) This ain't rocket science, have fun with it:>D
