Our dog just ate around 8 double-chocolate cookies. We called the vet and they suggested giving him hydrogen peroxide to induce vomit. What do you guys think? Is this the right course of action? Thanks.
Hi, grateful vegan. I've moved this to pets because I think your responses will be better. Not having dogs personally, i can't help you much, but anecdotally, I do know a dog who got into a couple pounds of chocolates (shrooms no less) years ago and is physically OK.
and are those cookies yours? I thought you were vegan unless they're vegan cookies. speaking of which, I have a vegan chocolate chip cookies right next to me.
THis is way too late, but if this ever happens again, this is absolutely the best course of action. But it should be done within like 20 minutes of the animal eating chocolate.
yea, they are vegan cookies we decided against doing it, and the vet agreed. we're just hoping for the best and keeping a close eye on his behavior. If anything seems suspicious we'll call the vet and drive over there ASAP. thanks for well-wishing and help! Peace.
