Every house on the market in my area is either a rundown dump thats not livable or a modest home that someone flipped that is now "worth" 3x what it should be  I just want a clean basic home but NOOOOO they all have brand new this that and everything else lavish rooms and grand kitchens bathrooms fit for a queen People dont NEED that and I dont want that nor can I afford it.

I have noticed this sort of thing where I live. There is never any really basic acommodation. Everything has to have bells and whistles and steal half your wages away. I am going to buy a caravan I think.

Well, on the bright side with the current state of the market house flippers probably aren't doing well.

Yeah be very cautious there. I have known flippers in my lifetime. They uses a sticker material for the counters that made it look like new counters, stickers over old appliances that made it look like stainless steel, vinyl sidding over rotted wood, cheap thin laminate flooring and more bandaids to make a house look great while empty but after 60 or so days shit started looking shitty.

thats another reason I hate them all they seem do do is just gussie it up and make it "look" nice on the surface as cheaply as possible further exaggerating the "value" of the home

I dont have time or resources to buy a dump and fix it up wanna be able to move in right away

Ive seen a few simple plainish slightly rough around the edges houses but they all get snatched up and then they are back on the market for double the price when they were decent accomodations to begin with all they do is bloat the market and drive consumers deeper into debt.
