Minimum Wage

wages are a fantasy, the more you earn as minimum the more they raise other prices so in the end the middle class loose ground becuase the minimum reaches ever closer to them. The wages of those who earned more than minimum dont increase but all the rent, food and such do increase making you actually earn less.

What needs to happen is prices decrease. Lets face it, what can a person in China earn a day what we earn in an hour and still make it?? That is the question you need to ask yourself. Why do we live so outside our abilities? Why do we feel we need certain things that others deem a luxuary?

 

I oversee 35 to 40 minimum wagers 7.15- 8.25 3 people that earn 9.50 - 11.50 and 2 salaried around 30k a year

Finding employee's that will actually do the job NEAR the level expected is fucking impossible I hire and fire constantly because the adults that accept a min wage job are those who never learned a honest or valuable skill and can continue on with their unproductive life thanks to gov assistance or kids that are forced to get a job by their parents dont want to work they just want paid. Honestly I dont think I'm this great super employee and I'm no genius but If your 30 plus and have been working for the past ten years and your still at a min wage job there is definatly something wrong with you. unless you are content and enjoy what you do but those people are a rarity.

In this world you are paid for what you can do or what you know If you can be shown how to do a job in a day it doesnt require thought just repetitive actions and thats all there is about that job you aren't worth much. If your going to do half of what you were taught or all of it only when the boss is babysitting you your fired or kept around untill you're replaced and you will never be worth a penny more untill you take interest or apply yourself to something worthwhile.

 

Marketing and advertising people are told they need all this stuff cause it makes their life better or makes them feel good or important when it just keep them from having anything that is actually worth having.

 

The TV just said for me to buy a Caddy.

 

I think it is great.
It should be decided on the basis of the cost of living.
Every worker...obviously as a start point not aimed at reducing everybody to a minimum wage.

How people spend their min' wage is their business.

 

before this recession/depression is over there wont be any illegals left..

between them leaving voluntarily and the government round ups the illegal population has already decreased substantially and its only going to keep shrinking..

thats right our government wants all those below minimum wage jobs to help real americans like you and i get through these hard times..
