but i frequently ingest pharmaceuticals that fit into the "opioid/opiate" category. for example : codrydamol, codeine phosphate, dihydrocodeine tartrate, tramadol hydrochloride, oxycodone etc. etc.
    BUT, anyway, i'm rambling,

just wondering, of all the people here who shoot up heroin (and/or other opiates they may have crushed/dissolved, Or other classes of drugs even), where do you people go about getting your needles?

like, is there a needle exchange near you? or does your dealer have them?
do you insist on having them wrapped in the original packaging, or have you ever used a needle that may have been used before you?

    just wondering y'know....

WTF dude, never use a needle, PERIOD. if u choose to use these kind of drugs i wouldnt consider anything other than orally...... if u INSIST on using a needle than go with the STERILE wrapped kind, never opened or unwrapped cuz theres a HUGE risk of gettin infected with some sick shit

Most people use diabetic needles that you can purchase from any pharmacy...walgreens, CVS, etc.

You don't need a script to purchase these, and they are cheap.

How do you go about not looking suspicious?

Do they usually request papers, or is there a good story to tell, or what? Not that I... am thinking about that, of course... :)

No, you don't need to prove anything. If you look suspicious, they probably will just tell you they don't have them.

There is no story to tell, they are diabetic needles, lol. Just tell them you are a diabetic....

Just don't go in dressed in last wednesdays clothes and make sure you took a shower in the last 2 days, and you should be fine.

If you get turned down, use another place...it's not illegal.

You should probably consider knowing exactly what to ask for, not just diabetic needles, but more specific, like "I need a pack of BD U 100, ultrafine insulin syringes."

Yea, if you said what the dude above wrote you'd probably get them in no time with no questions.

I live in Philly, We have a needle exchange program here.... Read the Needle Saftey thread at the top of the opiate page. Most big cities have exchages and alot of H dealers have them or other people in the city are there selling them for a dollar or 2.

is that just in the US? cos i'm in scotland & i think the set up for gettin diabetic's syringes is on a "repeat prescription" process which usually verifies your identity?
but if anyone in the UK knows of needle exchanges, that would add to this question(?)

    ta :)

there's a needle exchange van that i use to go to in milwaukee. it's pretty convenient. they give you 10 needles to start, little tin things were you cook your dope, a lot of tiny cotton balls, tubes of water, matches, big rubber strands, and ointment. otherwise walgreens sells them, but you need an id. but i've shared needles to and went as far as using a syringe typically used for cats. not a very proud part of my life. i'm glad i quit doing heroin, it almost took my soul. but i'd recommend for people who are using needles to carry your own and not share them. if you need to share them clean them out with bleach a few times and then water a few times also.

Any pharmacy is going to look at any 19 year old and think they are a drug user if they are asking for needles. Just a heads up.
