i can easily see how somone could be christian, and believe that the bible is purely for moral values and symbolism, I cannot however, CONCIEVE HOW some can take the bible literally for every word.

this means we are all inbred. every single living being on earth is inbred.

    adam & eve + noah's arc...

    so...

i just pwned christianity for the ones who take it literally.

please enlighten me on your opinion. i am open to it.

( and i realize i will probably get flamed for this post, but i wanted to share my thoughts, i am open to your comments, no need to flame.)

    cheers! :cheers2:
    good luck

    um?

we are all inbred if you think about it that way, wheter you are a christian or a buddhist or an atheist.

It isn't really a profound statement that we breed within our race.

no no no thats not what i meant. i meant that if we all came from two people alone.

and the animals because there was only a pair of each.

thats inbred, i didn't mean it by within the race.

For centuries there have been those trying to prove the Bible isn't literally true and they haven't "proven" it yet (for any thinking person, that should give some pause to the idea the Bible can't be literally true).

The founding fathers of the U.S. were mostly deists because they couldn't believe the things written in the book of Revalations could be literal. Such as the whole world looking on as the two witnesses were killed and raised again. That not farfetched at all now. They also couldn't see how one man could literally rule the world, also not farfetched now. Also the strange creatures spoken of don't seem so farfetched in these days of genetic engineering.

The Beast of the Earth and The Beast of the Sea always reminded me of some Jehovah/Ultima Weapon Final Fantasy shit.

There were more than two of each if you read it literally. Heck , there were more than two of each if you even read the book and take it as fantasy.

And to return to the main point. If you accept the Eve theory or the out of africa theory of human evolution, we are invariably inbred to one another because there would have been only a few people around once that final gene mutation occurred and we could no longer mate with anything else and became a separate species.
