Patchouli....

OK, I have this hand lotion, I think it's made by kiss my face, my Mom got it, and I love the smell of it, I never heard of patchouli until I saw the it in the lotion, any way I was looking it up and I saw that they make oils, and stuff, and I need some help.
1. Can someone tell me what to do with the oil? And how much you think I should get, like at some of the places on-line I looked at sell it in like 1/8 oz.,1/3 oz., 1/4 oz., 1/8 oz., ect.
2. Can someone tell me a good on-line place to buy it that's not to expensive.
3. If I were to just say put some on a hoodie to make it smell good, how much do I need to put on, and how long will the smell last, like I don't mean with washing it, just if I was to ware it as a coat once in a wile, how long will the smell last on it?
3. OK, I don't really care what people think, but do you think it's OK for men to ware it?

Patchouli is absolutly good for men to use.. it's a unisex scent. it is also very very potient in the oil form.. it is a healing oil and you only use a few drops.. and can harm the skin if not mixed with a carrier oil..olive oil or sweet almond oil..I find that NOW products work well and have good effects inexpencive too..it is also an afrodisiaic.. so use it sparingly as to not overwhelm...

 

I didn't know it was an aphrodisiac..damn, no wonder i love it so much..lol

 

like how much do I have to put in the carrier oil, like if I get an oz. of patchouli oil how much carrier oil should I mix it with....I think I going to order an oz. of it from http://www.edenbotanicals.com/essentials4.html#patchouli so how much sunflower oil (that's the cheapest carrier oil they have there, so I'm just going to get that, if you think it's ok to use it) should I mix it with

 

you can wear the oil or burn it, put not much more than a drop, the drop should last a few months

 

I would use 10 drops of oil to 1/2 cup of sunflower oil.. if just use the straight Patc. oil it will evaporate..If you want to use it as a lotion.. buy some uncented hand lotion and put in 30 drops of the Patc. Oil..

they have fragrance oils that are patchouli..they are a little glass tube with a roll on applicator..it lasts for a really long time..i love patchouli and wear it everyday..haha i get comments on it how i smell like herbs or dirt and stuff..i cant even smell it on me anymore..only a little bit...good stuff..peace and love

 

I happen to love the smell of Patchouli, and wear it a lot, I guess everyone has different tastes though...

 

you said you can just use olive oil, do you mean just regular olive oil, like the kind you use for cooking, or is there some other kind you have to get?

And what would you say the ratio of the olive oil to the Patchoulioil would be...like how many drops would you put in just say an oz. of olive oil? and also do you know how long you can keep the mixed oils?

 

Mixed oils go bad rather quickly especially Patchouli oil which stinks right away.

 

My gramma made this soap afew times. it was a hemp seen oil base that smelled like a-citrus or b-patchouli. it was great, you didn't even have to use lotion after a shower.

some people tell me that i smell like DIRT when i wear patchulii!.. i LOVE the smell of it though... does the smell just not mix with me or have other people experienced this??

 

i get some ppl saying i smell like dirt too..which is funny cause sum say i smell like pine trees ..or herbs or they just say patcholli...funny stuff..peace and love

I love the smell of patchuli...though it does smell or Earth and dirt.
It smells wonderful.
