Posting URLs For Outside Websites

Advertising your/others website by means of this venue is against the policies of Hip Forums guidelines.( they will be deleted ) We would ask that you read the guidelines so you will know what is and is not acceptable. If you would like to advertise, you can contact admin to purchace a banner or advertising space. There are also Stroefronts available. It is unethical to set up a shoe stand in front of a shoe store, or set up in someone elses space to peddel your wares. The webmaster has to pay a server for his space, it is only right that you do the same.

 

What if is a money extraction scheme and the mod removes the link and warns others, this way instead of being an advert, it becomes a subvert?

I'd like to claify, If I may..Mysticblu.. I'm sorry if I hurt your feelings.. not my intent.. About the urls.. If there is a conversation going on about a topic and a url is used to illustraite it IS allowed.. But if it is used to stear ppl away from this site to another similar site it is Not allowed and considered spam.. not in the sence sometimes like the Iphone or shoe spammers.. but a different type of spam.. that uses this venue to further their own gain.. Skip has provided a space for buy/sell/trade in Classified and has space availble in means of a store.. As we have been getting a lot of that type of spam lately.. I thought I would put up a reminder.. Thanks for understanding.. sh

 

oh ok kewl, because a lot of times I post links citing articles or like you said to better illustrate a topic. I love citing sources!

 

I needed help with a Psychology project and posted an outside URL. I apologize if this was wrong. I really need help. It's a survey that my class made up. I will be getting a grade on it.
