McCain will end welfare for minorities. Thank God

This is why we need him and I am not being racist but just a true southern confederate rebel with southern heritage and traditions. Anyway he will save working taxpayers and the American goverment billions of dollars for doing this one thing. Minorities will be forced to get off the couch and get a job and contribute to society instead of getting a free handout. Welfare was intended to be a temporary bailout for someone who was down and out for a short period but it has now turned into a generational handout for families ( especially blacks) who have siezed and abused the system causing lifestyles and inner city communities to deteriorate. We need McCain and Palin to end this and force them back into the workforce because if Obama gets in we will see more of our money go to these people.

I had to tear into a preacher man from my own area of Alabama yesterday for something along this same theme. He said the wrong thing in my hometown paper and I paddled him publically for doing so.

I've been up north and I find it far worse.

all I've ever known living in the south is tolerance and laid back acceptance. Albeit there are a few people like this guy, but there will always be morons wherever you go.

I think the misuse of welfare needs to end.

Welfare can be a responsible program that helps people get back on their feet when they are faced with hard times. Not everyone is strong enought to be entirely independant.

We take care of our own. That's what makes us human.

the fact is no matter what you do with it, the minorities of this country will get the shit end of the stick. If you take away most welfare, with the ideology that minorities will get jobs, you have to take into account what kind of jobs are given to uneducated minorities.

I find it funny that he just saying minorities but there are more white people on welfare than minorities on welfare in this country.

As a former southerner myself, it was my duty.

What the OP has failed to take into account is the downturn in the economy that is really just starting.

You think there's alot of people on welfare now, you just wait.

I'd rather see people in need get taxpayers money than the military getting it.

If we're not willing to take care of our own people, whats the point of paying taxes to begin with?

Yes the economy will really take a nose dive if the militant socialist domestic terrorist associate Obama gets in. He will end corporate America as we know it and disperse that money to the uneducated welfare people and hinder the growth to the economy stalling small business because of heavy taxation. The successful do not need to be punished on behalf of the poor. The spread the wealth is a flawed ideology. On the military issue we need a strong increase in spending on new weapon systems to keep our military advanced compared to our enemies like Russia and China. The more we spend on the Military will only force these nations to struggle to keep up forcing their economies to be cash strapped.
