.....is a chatroom! Forget msn, I want a room where we can just jump in n out of when we want, wouldn't that be cool?

 

well hippy.com has a chat room, but its not specifically ours per se, anyone can sign in...

Yeah, but wouldn't that mean adding everyone to msn? Personally, I'd find that a bit much. (Unsociable git here ) With a chatroom, you can just come and go as you please! No commitments! I think a UK one would be fun.....

i agree!! it would strengthen us as a community too... if we could just pop into it and see everyone else online. yeah man, ask skip!! i seem to remember the one on hippy.com never ever working, well, in the time of the old forums anyway.

You can make your own chat rooms on an IRC network, for example, chatworlds, which is what the chat room associated with hippy.com is on..

There's a handy program called mIRC that can be used to chat in this way.. It's what I use to chat in #hippychat anyway..

Whether that's a bit complicated for people who are more of a 'point and click' type computer user, I don't know..

i am afraid using mirc would be to complicated for most people just to get on one chat room?

 

Isnt there one as part of our hip-parties msn group? or am i just being silly here :S so i guess we allready HAVE a chat room its just only about 10 of us are signed up for it.

 

I'm in that i think... but have rarely used it...

how do we get in it again?

if we used that though we would all have to agree times and stuff to meet up and it would all get very complicated. it would be much easier if we just had a little box in the corner of the uk forum telling us who was in there and you could just pop in any time rather than having to arrange it
