kick it? really? propped on that jack? and yeah, nothing really butch about me... except maybe for my thunder thighs and my drinking habits. and how the hell am i supposed to get me some mace without a car?
thunder thighs? oh no my dear. you don't have thunder thighs. you have the legs of a god... *wait... shit... i mean.... goddess!
and was attempting to make a (not very funny) joke by saying legs of a god instead of a goddess... sometime i just strike out in the humour dept.
Is it a decent jack? Push against the fender and if the car feels secure on the jack, fuck it give it a couple kicks. Just make sure nobody is underneath the car or anywhere they can get crushed if it does fall. The best thing to use is a dead-blow hammer, but.. I do not know of these thunder thighs you speak of? I needs visual assistance.. And why dont you ride a horse to the store. You areee in texas, arent you? :toetap05:
ok.. i guess i will try, it seems like a sturdy jack. i mean, it's a toyota. so it's just awesome, all-around. i will go hammer hunting tomorrow if all else fails. i'm just worried because there are cars around it. i live in an apt complex. but that is probably not really a cause for concern as i doubt i could kick my car into another car. if i did do that, the story would be worth anything i had to pay in damages thunder thighs, no, sorry, you don't need to see those, they have been built up too much.... edit: about the horse. yes i ride, no i do not own a horse, much to my dismay. don't think it would fit in my apartment.
You wont kick it into another car, but either way it wont be good if it falls. It could also fall off the jack, and shoot the wheel/tire off, so be careful. Maybe give it some light kicks at first it probably wont need much to break it loose. Or
yeah, i definitely need one of those. think i can get it at lowe's? there is one within biking distance... edit: yup, think they carry one, says it's for laminate... ?
Pretty much any heavy hammer will work. And if you get it from somewhere like lowes you can use it then return it :cheers2:
If the tire is flat, the hammering on the tire probably isnt the best idea. If the wheels you have on there are cheap steelie wheels and not expensive ones, one of your neighbors probably has a pry bar (like 3 feet). Insert that prybar through one of the openings of the wheel while he/she kicks it. If that doesnt work, or you cant find a prybar and a big strong beast of a neighbor, put the lugnuts ON, but not all the way. Leave a little wiggle room, and put the car back on the ground. BARELY move the car forward/backward, and the wheel should loosen up. Remember that the lugnuts are loose. DO NOT GO ANYWHERE. You can turn the wheels back and forth (if on the front) and it should help loosen them up as well. The lugnuts needn't be really loose. About 5 turns from tight should work. Hope it helps
That works too.. For some reason I forgot about the tire in question being flat Still though, you might be able to hit it with enough force to knock it off the hub. The pry bar idea will work, just make sure you dont pry against the brake rotor or something. And I wouldnt do that unless, like mentioned, the wheels are steel. The other idea would work too, but you could be taking a chance at bending something. I wouldnt try that one either unless the wheels are steel.
..I actually gave the tire two good kicks this morning, and it popped off easily. now I just feel dumb for not doing that last night. Tire fixed~~!
