I have to right a 5-page paper for my composition class on a topic with an opposing viewpoint. I want to write it on dreadlocks. I'm want to talk about how they are actually very clean and natural etc. This goes against what most people think about them(dirty, smelly, etc). I can also mention about how most people get scammed with wax and so on. What do you guys think? Do you think I'll be able to write 5 pages on this without sounding repetitive?

if your anything like me you'll struggle to get your introduction into less than 4 1/2 pages, i dont see you having any problems.

You can also dispel the myths that rastas somehow invented them and such things because that pisses me off no end.

ince in a composition class we were asked to memorize as much detail of the room as we could then at home write 5 pages of what we could remember...i wrote 10 pages on just the lightswitch alone
5 pages on the truths and myths of dreads would be so easy withoiut requiring any thought or research..
20 pages would bve easy if u spent 10 minutes looking up a few facts

hell i bet i could make 1 sentence run on for 5 pages if i wanted

Fantastic! I could definately find you some sites promoting the use of wax. Easily get five pages out of what you wanna write

I'd be more than happy to provide you with info on using herbs for naturally healthy & clean dreads/hair.

i suggest the topics: DREADS ARE CLEAN and WHITE KIDS CAN HAVE DREADS TOO

just go to the dread faq thread, that might help!

i'd mention something about how most people do unhealthy things to their hair in the name of "cleanliness", it would help people understand why we dont do those things, yet we call our locks clean and healthy.

as much as i (and others) hate research papers and such, doing a paper on dreadlocks would actually be a piece of cake.
And i'm sure its better than doing a research paper on something like... a fork!
i'd tackle it now and all you need to know (or already know) is here!

worried about being repetitive with only 5 pages? You could probably write a book about it! Just create a nice outline first, then fill in the blanks. 5 pages on that topic would not be a problem at all.

    good luck!
