Hey guys! It's been awhile since I posted--my last post was when my dreadies were 5 month old. They're now a little over 8 months old, and maturing nicely! Here are some pics (comments encouraged!):
Thanks for the kind words everybody! Aww mandy, you've got me blushin' over here! Yeah Suburban, my sister and mom helped me by backcombing my hair for me--it took 34 hours over the course of six days, and hurt like hell! I didn't want to backcomb, but I work in an office setting, so I had to exercise a little control over how my dreadies formed and keep them at least a bit neat. My boss is pretty cool about it though--he lets me wear Dead bandanas, so I'm not complaining!
looking good but whats funny is ya backcombed trying to ..keep lil control..yet they still came out rather natural looking..uncontrolled and wild even without the 36 hours of pain i bet they'd look pretty much the same today
Thanks mamamojo--the wooden bead necklace and the shroomy necklace are two of my creations, and the Jerry bear one I bought from this groovy lady at Nelson Ledges (a festival campground where I attend most of the festies I go to.) Soaringeagle--yeah, it's kinda funny isn't it? Een with the backcombing they have gone wild--as they've matured I've learned that the best thing is to just let them do their own thing. My dready journey has already taught me much about humility and patience, and i'm learning more every day!
