If Marijuana is a hallucinogen, then why dont we hallucinate when we get high?

Btw, I am trying to break up the weed. I just got some Ez-Widers and i am about to roll up.

 

actually, for me at least, it is a slight hallucinogen. if i'm really high, i sometimes get tunnel vision, or objects i look at start to slowly warp and twist a little. i also get mild closed-eye visuals.

i guess it just depends on the person and how high you are.

Although marijuana only produces mild visual effects, a hallucinogen can act on any of the senses. Marijuana can definitely produce audio hallucinations, as well as physical hallucinations.

Generally marijuana is classified as a psychedelic, more so than a hallucinogen.

 

i have hallucinogen off the erb but only because i had nothing in my stomach i puked and got fucked up after that.

Cannabis is a depressent, it's a mild hallucinigen also, more associated with aural (ears) hallucinations.

 

THC is also a stimulant.

and CBD is also anti-psychotic iirc.

 

I have hallucinated off of weed. Actually, one of the coolest things about weed hallucinations, is sometimes the people smoking with you have the same effect.

I used to get this weed that would make me see certian things as being extra big. Me and my friends looked too big for our surroundings, and when we would stand up and look down, it would seem like we were 10 feet tall. Macropesia it's called. Them were the days.

I've gotten where things look like they're moving very very slightly- like the room. And I've gotten where everything looks sorta weird a lot of times (think a super mild shrooms trip).

A few times, I had where I imagined something and then I started to actually see it. I have a friend that does this any time she gets stoned; and she freaks too easy so she very rarely smokes.


Most other times it's hard to tell if it was an hallucination or a high-induced illusion.

 

I have hallucinated off weed, although you should know many sources dispute classifying weed as a pure hallucinogen.



I personally think that is the best classification ^

 

I've got a hook up for some great pot and on my days off i like to smoke a lot in one sitting, and when i do I hallucinate a little but i never hallucinate beyond noticability.

That is hella true.... my first REAL high I was sitting inside and I seriously heard everything as a mother fucking industrial rain forest, it was the most psychedelic experience of my life(other than my first salvia trip). I also got some fucked up closed eye visuals. and might I remind everyone that a dark room with alot of dark shadowy things will give very noticeable hallucinations.

 

Yeah, I've had that too. I LOVE that effect. I've never been sure if it was a certain strain of weed that did that or if it was just because I had a lower tolerance at the time that it happened. Either way, I've only had that a few times and I love it. Do you know whether it's a certain strain or if any type of weed can give this effect?

I've gotten that a good bit when really high. All of a sudden I will be zoning out and notice something is really loud then once I notice it the loud noise just kinda shuts off instantly.
