More acid

I think acid's back. In the past few months, i personally have noticed availability increase dramatically. last march, a tab was $10-15, and that's when it was available, and i could never get more than 3 or 4 at a time. now, i have three dealers constantly bugging me to buy tabs, now at 5-10 a tab, 50-90 a strip, and there's always some. also, i think certain events are going to create a new curiosity (and willingness to try) lsd. the reunion of phish will definetly give rise to more people wanting to trip, and after a few years of this LSD dark age, it will once again become a communal event for types like us. this is weird ridiculous grammar i know i am pretty much tripping slightly but enough..its that spot.

anyone else notice that lsd has gotten a lot easier to find very recently or is it just me

I really think that MDMA is a huge factor in it. Because MDMA is quite popular even in high school from what I hear. MDMA is making alot of people open to the synthetic psychedellic thing.

Where I live in the UK, Reading festival is one of the biggest yearly event for the drug community. Usually there is an abundance of ecstasy pills and MDMA crystals, everyone's buzzing their tits off! But this year the most common drug was ketamine and a lot of people were on psychedelics (mainly mushrooms and acid). Also, there were a load of RCs around too (mainly 2C-X but I came across a bit of DOX and Bromo too).

I don't know whether it'll be as soon as '09 but psychedelics are making a comeback and there're a shitload more of them now.

 

MDMA and LSD are completely and utterly different types of drugs that produce different effects on all levels. That's quite a bad comparison and a poor reason for high school kids to take acid.

 

MDMA and LSD aren't actually completely different types of drugs. LSD is a psychedelic and MDMA is a stimulant/psychedelic. There is definitely a psychedelic side to MDMA (this is brought out more if you smoke weed whilst on MDMA, especially at high doses) and I think what he meant is that it gives people a taste for psychedelics and makes people want to try other psychedelics.
I know that's how a lot of my friends and I got in to tripping anyway.

 

mdma is much more stimulant based than psychedelic. fair enough, my ecstasy days are dead and gone; but the experiences themselves are completely different. time duration (amount of time each experience lasts), sensory perception, the way you perceive time while on each, after effects (comedown vs. 'come back' + grounds for flashbacks), visual enhancements/changes, the types of euphoria produced in both, the chemical structures in the brain, the parts of the brain each drug acts on and the mechanism in which each works, etc.
i suspect a lot of people who are well acquainted with the madman buzz would fear for their sanity the first time they hit lucy up.

 

and i've never EVER had the machine-like auditory hallucinations of acid while on mdma. or the crystalline precision of the visuals. or synthesesia - seeing elements of my psytrance merge with the exterior world in fractal patterns and waveforms.
there's no comparison. mdma causes people to loose their inhibitions and the user can jam well pretty much anywhere - with anyone. lsd is heavily dependent on set and setting. there's no losing of inhibitions if you're confronted by someone you really don't want to see, and even the slightest change of scenery can send the trip spiralling into polar opposites.

 

You're not getting the picture bro. WE ALL KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. Now a days its a "gateway"(i hate to use it but it works) to lucy. Its more common to hear "i'm trippin" when they're rollin then someone like me comes along and says "do you really wanna trip" and they don't knwo whats up at all. Then they trip and love it.

What I was trying to say was that I know MDMA and LSD aren't the same, but there is a psychedelic side to MDMA which gives people a taste of what tripping is like. Then they want to go on and do other psychedelics like mushrooms or acid.

 

i think it actually might have something to do with the fact that kids turn out like their parents eventually. all i know is that my parents were potheads, and my mom loved lsd. my dad was into rush, zeplin, and yes, and my mom was into floyd and the dead. but until i started getting older, realizing im alot like them, realized that they liked psychedelics, and being the right age to get my hands on them, it all just cliked. anyways, i think the children of all the people from that late 60s era are starting to be around the starting age, and hopefully, theyre all alot like their parents...just a theory i made off the top of my head.

 

They say history has and does repeat itself...I have no doubt that in my lifetime there will be another love revolution with LSD involved..

honestly i dont know anyone that's tried ecstacy. everyone either does the perscription stuff, xanax, adderall, vicodin, and oxy primarily (cus EVERYONE knows that they're safe and cool because they're legal), then theres the clique like SWIM's that does acid, shrooms, salvia, and those when they can and knows what they're doing.

 

LSD has been around in quantity since Kesey and the Dead. It hasn't gone anywhere, it just moves around. The right people will be found and get on the bus, everyone else will just keep on truckin.

IMHO, MDMA is giving the psychedelic scene a bad reputation and it's presence is infectious like any other addictive drug. I been there and done it and got the t-shirt... MDMA makes you SAD.

 

Lol i actually dont know anyone that hasnt had ecstacy, except of coarse the older generation.

Ive heard pills are used a lot more here in Australia, especially compared to the UK because ours about twice as strong. And a lot more expensive unfortunately.
