Im going to Beauty School to get my cosmetology license(which is something Ive been wanting to do since I was a little girl). Everyday there is drama all the time. In the classroom next to me they have some drama but maybe like once a week. In my classroom it never seems to stop.

My 2 friends and I stay clear of the drama because its dumb. It gets so bad. Last week they called the head of our school in and now during class hours we can only talk about things that deal with cosmetology. Which i hate because my friends and I stayed out of it and now we cant even talk during school hours. Then today this one girl said that 6 people stole her nail polish remover (thats why you should have your name on everything) she got so mad she took one of our dolls head and threw it at the mirror which then it broke. Of course she got kicked out of school but the thing is we have clients outside of our classrooms that can hear everything that goes and we had clients walkout today which is a very bad thing because we as a whole school get written up for it. Which i dont agree on at all.

There is a lot more that happens but i dont want to bore you so ill get to my point.

Everyday i come home and im not in that good of a mood and i usually end up taking it out on my boyfriend and i feel really bad about it because he hasnt done anything. Ill snap at the little things he does. I no he gets mad and i no he nos im going through a lot but i just feel so bad about doing it and i dont know what to do.

Everybody that i talk to say that it isnt that bad once you get out of school that there is barely no drama but i dont know what to do anymore. This is something ive always wanted to do but the stress is killing me but i dont want to drop out.

Any ideas or helpful info would be great.

just be chill. not everything in life is easy-going. in fact, most things aren't. it's just one more thing. women usually lash out at each other over stress, bad circumstances and a desperate need to win, without the ease of just hitting each other, either in sports or a good ol' brawl.

it never fails, put yourself in their shoes. their fear, their history, their current (frequently self-inflicted and thus guilt-inducing) problems. just muck your way through the way you did high school. some people will never change.

on a side note, how are you liking cosmetology? i always wanted to do that. i like making people feel good.

If its something you always wanted to do go for it because it is a lot of fun. You get to meet all kinds of people and you get to learn a lot of things. The hardest thing is learning all the terms because there is a lot of terms you need to know. The best part is you get to make people feel good about themselves.

But you should look into it if you really want to do it.

If you want to no more you can PM me cause i can give you lots of info and any questions you have you can always ask.

from my experience, there will still be drama after you get out of school. every day until you find a new career. my mom has been a hair dresser for 20 yrs and when i was younger she would come home and talk to her friends about her day saying all sorts of stuff. like people stealing other peoples clients, someone only doing mani's when they can be doing pedi's but dont like doing the dirty part. its crazy. thats one job i will never ever want nor settle for. hopefully you will work for a company that is nice and has good hearted people. good luck

im sorry but what do you mean by settle for? hairdressers can make alot of money. when i choose to goto beauty school it was because it was something im good at and really enjoy, i wasn't "settling".

Just to let you know school is finally starting to get better. I guess you just cant have 36girls in one room for 8hours and not expect any drama.
I agree w/ PeaceAttack all the way. Hairstylist can make a lot of money. Look at all the people in Hollywood if it wasnt for Hairstylist they wouldnt look as good.
This isnt something i just settled for its something that i have always wanted to do.

Veroness, how would you like it if someone said that your job is something that you settled with it?

Im not trying to be a bitch about it. Its just I dont really like it when people think that hairstyling is something I just settled for.

most people do settle with something they don't like. i wouldn't get too upset about it. i'm glad you're gettng used to the estrogen stress.
