my locks are all kinds of fuzzy and tight!!! :)

only a little bit of brownish water came out... and most of that was the color from the lemon juice. my dreads have been kept clean! i would have expected more grossness for 16 months.... but yay!

One thing I don't like is having short hair because of how exposed I feel...
the hair blocks peoples' eyes, sometimes I don't like feeling them.

Tomorrow will be 9 months for me. I have yet to do a deep cleanse. I dunno, my hair seems clean but there is definitely minor build up on my scalp over time that the bronners doesn't get. Although the next time I wash I think I am going to use baking soda and follow it with a sea salt and lemon juice treatment. Last months they were so tight at the scalp with very few loose hairs. But I have about an inch of new growth since last month which I swear is growing faster than normal right now. But all the new hair has yet to lock up and there is a fuzz halo around my head. I don't do anything except twist and rip, and play with it so I am helping a change in routine will address this. If not, no big deal it's just hair.

But on a side note, I love dreads too. You and your dreads are gorgeous nakedtreehugger, as you must already know.

lol, i think some of the brown nastiness has to come from those who smoke/are around those who smoke a lot. i've caught whiffs of smoke from my dreads up to a week after being in a smoky place. GROSS!!!

the water is never brown when I deep clean... and I always get a little disappointed about that. lol.

Still leaves em squeaky clean though :)
