does anybody else have an uncanny connection with animals? For some reason, I can communicate with them, tell what they're thinking; they're feeling. Can anyone else pet their goldfish?

I'm So glad you posted that!:)

No, I can't say I've petted the gold fish, for I used to (years ago Accidently mush mine against the bowl to get it out to change the water - but that's another story:eek:

I'm not bragging, but relatively all animals love me. Wild birds don't come to my hand - (though I do have a large place I put seed out for them) but they just fly barely away - thinking they'll hide a little.

Regular, domesticated animals all love me and usually I can tell what they want, are thinking, etc. - but I guess that is all subjective.

btw, right now 12 cats own me - along w/ a border collie:D

My girlfriend is like that. All animals that come near her seem to love her immediatley. Not with me though. But I had a dream once where a brown bear was my friend and traveled with me, that was awesome :cheers2:

Animals like me a lot, but I can't tell what they are thinking. I can always tell when one of my cats has walked into the vicinity, though. The energy in the room changes somehow...
It might go the other way, though. I have a couple of cats that will climb all over me if they sense that I am sad or sick. One will actually get in bed with me, under the covers and sleep with his head on the pillow next to me when my boyfriend leaves. It's really cute. It's like he's saying, "don't be sad; I'm here."
Their little individual personalities are so cool...

that's really cool i got so many replies. no one but my mom around here believes me. I work at the Petsmart here, and you can definitely see it when I'm working. There was this Akita we had in the kennels, and no one would go into it's cage, because the dog was notoriously violent, but I had to get the dog's blankets out of the kennel so we could wash it, so I just walked in there, with two people behind me outside of the cage in case he attacked. I felt that the dog was very scared more than he was angry, and I sort of changed the vibes in the area, channeled my own feelings to him (at least that's how it feels, I can't quite explain it. We connected, in other words) He quit growling, and just sat down, and i was allowed access to his belongings.
the other two people were amazed, b/c pretty much everyone else that had gone into that cage got bitten. i dunno....sometimes it feels lame to like be able to talk with my cats and fish and whatever, but i love it so much when i come home from work, and all my animals are waiting for me to tell me about their day...:)

that is sooo awesome. i dont think i could calm down a crazy akita because i would be too scared, but dogs LOVE me. i have a lot of people tell me that their dog doesn't usually like people but it will come right up to me and let me pet it. i can tell how my dogs are feeling, too, if they are sick or cold or hungry. it's pretty wild.

I don't know all the time, but I usually know what they want.
The same goes with people, it made me good at my job in the nursing home.

I'm an animal - can you tell what I'm thinking and feeling? Well I kind of gave it away already, didn't I...

Animals are very sensitive to energy patterns and vibrations, much more than we are. That's why dogs can "smell fear." They literally sense the vibration of something afraid.

I myself can concentrate and listen to their thoughts. Plants too, for that matter. I actually have an interesting story to tell about that.

A couple years ago our family dog, a small house dog we'd had for 5 years, all of the sudden started peeing in this one specific spot in the basement. For weeks we could not get her to stop, after all, she had been housebroken since the first year and not had any accidents.

We were almost to the point where we had to give her up when I suggested to my mother that it might be the spirit living in our house. My mother and I were the only two that ever saw him, but he constantly made his presence known with noise. (I found out later on he was trying to get my attention).

So I went downstairs, taking the dog with me, and sat near the spot of piss. I looked deep into her eyes, and spiritually asked her to show me what was happening. I instantly "saw" in her eyes that the spirit was forcing her to urinate in the same spot. He was making her so afraid that she literally wet herself. (Again, as I found out later he was trying to get my attention)

I was furious. I kneeled where I was sitting and said, out loud, "If you bother my dog one more time, I will make you leave this place forever."

She has yet to piss in the house since then. 2 years ago. True story.

    ^Loved that^
Did you know that in Feng Shui cats are considered to move around energy (to the Better). Say when you are surrounded and are sick and/or sad they are in their own way trying to heal you - at least I think that.
Though I also love dogs, and they me - dogs are like us w/ energy and stuff that - say what makes us sick, sad, depressed would affect dogs likewise...of course, I have no Scientific proof of that; but I've see it in more than one dog. All Feng Shui "beliefs" that I find not only interesting but accurate.:D

    Guardian,

What a neat story - when I began my post where I mentioned Feng Shui
I had not read your post yet (Dial -Up:() but that is even a furthur instance -to me, anyway, regarding dogs responding much as we do to certain energy/entities. :)

Ok, I Love that^ and I am jealous of your wonderful job!:D Did you have to get piss tested? Just curious;) I'm right now on unemployment.
The only bad thing about re-entering the workforce, aside from people are stupid asses, is I'll be missing/worring about my brood here.:)

i guess most animals i know are wild ones . mostly they don't pay me any attention . then , when one does it's very cool even enlightening about the truth of nature . the repression of our shared intelligent nature seems pretty recent - the philosopher Descarte wrote most insultingly of the peasants who stubbornly continued to believe that the beasts can speak . then along came modern reason ... then along came a world out of balance ... then along came suffering and mass extinctions .

    it's a wonder a person can still
be loved by a wild bird ,
    in heartsong

The day i moved out of my last address a month ago i was resting outside for a while and a butterfly landed on my chest and stayed there for a good few minutes. I felt really blessed.

Sure i always get on well with cats and dogs, and particularly with dogs i'm always aware we share the same awareness underneath.
At my new place there are 3 cats and despite there being 6 people living there it seems the cats are without mutch attention and strokes and since i love stroking them and talking to them, now they seem addicted to me and they all follow me around and come into my room and get jealous and pissy with eachother. So anyway i try to give them all equal attention the best i can.
    It's a hard life!
