for schools to serve mostly organic and all fresh food with a veggetarian option?
Man everytime I go to a school the smell and sight of the lunches disgust me.
They have no veggie options either. They did where I went to school. Maybe there just aren't many veggies in Nevada?

Nope. I would say "Ya parents, be responsible for your children and what they put into their mouths yo." Besides, I would wonder how much would go to waste anyways, seeing as pizza is always a better option than free range chicken served with spring greens.

We do pay higher taxes and I've never gone to a public school that actually has a cafeteria.

No, but I'm willing to spend the same amount on taxes and have the government stop wasting money on frivolous bullshit.

Therefore having room left in the budget to increase the quality of life for us all, and feed our kids better school lunches.

Its funny how I hear people calling obama a socialist, and referencing to it as though its an evil word. But what they dont realize is that our school system is socialist.

Im not much of a socialist at all, I couldnt care less if we got rid of public schools and it was all privatized. I just want low taxes and a true free market evironment.

our school offers veggie options. they cost the same as the non-veggie options. many kids bring their own lunches.

We pack our kids lunches too. They only get like 20 minutes to eat, no sense in making them stand in like for the first 10.

No I wouldn't. I am sure that extra tax money would be spent on a new lear jet, so I choose NO

I'll always pay more taxes if I can see a decent benefit, and improved quality of life

of course, I have to be able to believe that they are doing as efficiently, or moreso than I would be.

I can't afford to may more taxes anyway, even if I wanted to. As it is, I'm yard-saling stuff to make ends meet.

our school's lunch program isn't tax funded, it's parent funded. if a parent doesn't pay their bill, their children don't get food. the parents get a phone call along the lines of "bring your kid some food, they don't have any money on their account."

Where I went to school it was tax funded, and according to parents income you could get reduced or free lunches and breakfast.

The thing I dont understand was the free lunch kids decked out in the latest gear and getting dropped off in BMWs. I guess daddy was doing some hustlin on the side
