I actually used to work in the Courts and saw one or two people come to court barefoot. Made me feel insanely jealous, and of course instantly like that person (not that I was a judge or anything). They never got any bad comment about it.But you never know, being barefoot might just sway things in your favour. Good luck anyway.

I don't think they will care. But painted concrete floors aren't much fun.

I had to spend a weekend in jail about 6 months ago, we were not permitted outside of our cell without shoes.

if they know you don't want to wear them, they'll make you wear them.

I really hope you don't get convicted, that you remain free. Hopely the offense is not considered that serios as them to put you in jail. My best wishes to you Boogabaah!

Pick your children and leave the country for some decent one. YOU under trial ? I cant believe that someone can possibly think of you as a public threat.

however i think that you'd better leave apart 'eccentric' behaviors in order to avoid triggering 'look' bias deep rooted in the narrow minds of policemen, magistrates and other varieties of pigs, better shod for half a day than jailed for god knows how long. jails are just humongous shoes and should be avoided in every way. dont get agry over the advice if you dont really like it, i was just trying to say that's no wise thing to play openly with those assholes.

My best friend who got arrested and was in jail for a few days once, mentioned how they took her shoes and socks as soon as she entered the jail.... Later when they took her clothes and gave her the uniform to wear, they gave her two different sized left shower shoes, and one was way too big for to even wear. She asked for another shoe, but never got one, so she just went barefoot the whole time... Interesting I thought...

I agree. Maybe you should consider wearing shoes only when going to courthouse. I think recovering your child is well worthy of that sacrifice.

    Good luck!

Yep, I was thinking of posting something to this effect, but you worded it best.

Don't risk it. It would be a foolish decision.

Good luck to you in court Boogabah! It looks like you've already been to that court barefoot, so going barefoot probably isn't an issue. I hope you don't have to go to jail, but if you do, definitely wear shoes if they make you. The more you comply, the more likely they'll let you out early.
