Wooden Pipes

What does everyone think of them? People keep saying that glass is the best and that metal is harsher..I personnaly have a wooden one and think its great.

 

I have a deep love for wood, metal, and stone pipes because they can have a very nice and eloquent design carved into them, but their lack of carb can be kind of bothersome.

 

I like both,but I seem to use my glass one more,does not seem to get as clogged up.

 

I like smoking from art. Hand carved wood is perfect for me.

The first time I smoked ganja I smoked from a pipe that i had carved from wood.

 

i have a pretty awesome wood pipe, all carved n shit... its got a deeper taste and i don't mind it at all...

I used to have a wood pipe but it got burnt and I tossed it

 

i want to carve my own wooden pipe, but i have yet to find a decent tutorial.

 

"find piece of wood... carve" i think thats all ya need.. you do know what a pipe looks like..

 

I have found that wooden pipes taste like resin after a while. They are hard to clean. Glass is easier to keep clean, and gives you a nicer, cleaner, greener taste. IMO

 

I will agree if you are looking for a cleaner burn go with glass. Wood tends to be more earthy I have found though that when you scorch the bowl you can create charcoal in the bottom of the bowl and it will burn. Then you are just smoking the wood. I like and use them both. One on my favorite pipes I have I picked up at the Ren Fair. I call it "Frodo" because it look like one of those pipes from The Lord of The Rings. Really long with a huge bowl.

I remember when my friend had a pipe carved from soapstone, that was my favourite for a while.
