I'm new to this so forgive the Question as well as my grammar but is it really possible to make a real friend on a forum .Some of the RT group sound close and laugh at the same jokes as me but do ya not have to see a friend smile in person to appreciate it ???
I consider some of these folks my friends, I've also met people that I've met online who have become my friends... It's not the same, but you can still connect with people in this digital realm.
I'm extremely obese so I can't leave my house to make real friends, so this is as good as it gets for me...
Yea i'd like to think so but it make's it easy for people to be mean as well as nice and I must admit the RT thing is cool
I have become friends in real life with many on these forums. We've gone to festivals, camped out, had bonfires, exchanged music, drink and smoke together....and I found my mate here as well. I figured it out the other day....and it was 15 people. Though most were not from RT.
the interenet is great because a lot of people get MORE "real" in some ways, because it's somewhat anonymous. if you disclose something about yourself you later wish you hadn't, or make an "enemy" you can just stop coming to the site. my digital me is much more free than the "real" version. i've met many people from the internet. one of whom is my lover and lifepartner. and we are close on here because we are losers and are on here all the time, talking about the most random wierd gross stuff imaginable.
You could ask the same of life....but how many assholes do you run into in the course of a day?:toetap05:
yea, i'm friends and enemy of every person in RT...just depending on the day plus i have a lot of power around these parts
