This one was kinda wierd; The other night i had this dream: I was helping out in an African village ...it seemed like it used to be a traditional tribal village that the modern world had encroached on so there were just a few aspects of modern living like corrugated iron roofs, basic running water, people wearing tatty jeans and t shirts and suchlike. Food was being prepared for everyone in the village ... potatoes, shellfish and some other stuff and one the chefs where i work in real waking life, Stuart was there helping with the cooking. I had to take a couple of plates of food to two guys from the village called Del and Tom who were in the hospital about a mile up the road. There was a woman in the village who seemed better dressed than everyone else, she wore these tall kinda thigh high leather boots which were strung up the back with leather thong and she had the only mobile phone in the village. She leaned over and kissed me and said i was a good person .. i guess because i was helping out. So thats basically the jist of the dream. Now, i work in a cookery school as an assistant ... washing dishes, prepping food ect, and the next day at work, Stuart (one of four chefs) is teaching the class of eight, and among the class is Jaye Jacobs who plays Donna Jackson in the TV hospital drama, Holby city. She's a rather attractive black woman and of course she has her mobile phone and she's wearing these (only calf high) leather boots which tie up at the back with leather thong. She's very friendly and thanks me every time she brings me something to wash up and we get a little friendly rapport going ...she called me 'love' at one point and i figured she kinda liked me. Anyway it wasn't until the next day that all the pieces of the dream clicked in my mind ... the hospital up the road, the black woman with the phone and leather boots who kissed me, Stuart being there cooking food. So it's nice when a dream clicks like that but it's a shame it clicked too late as i would have liked to ask her if she knew anyone called Del and Tom and if she was of African ethnicity (although of course she was ultimately). Anyway i thought that was kinda cool
I think it's not too late, liquidlight ... well just take your dream and throw it together with all the ingrediences of your waking experience (including your regret) and make a wonderful timeless stew of it. Sometimes this is all it is about. Be still, and go deeper ...
I sometimes have dreams like this and yes, there's an element to them which is simply a kind of reminder that there's more afoot than we think ... that time and distance isn't quite what we think ... that 'past' and 'future' merge in a colourful mural. Some might think it's simply a 'precognitive' dream ... simply dreaming the things of tomorrow but i've found that there is usually an underlying, deeper meaning which tells of the energies within you .... your inner state so to speak, which is reflected in the symbols of the outer world also. I'm amazed at how symbolic my outer experince has become this year.
Yes dreams with a precognitive bent have a way to trigger questions (in so called wake state). Still, the questions are not the answers ... they point the other way. To see, and hear, we must draw back the curtain of analyzis, and listen to the dreamer of the inner world. Waking means so much more. Happy dreams ! Thank you for sharing your experience.
