Yeah right. Anyways I work at a local fire station and they said I have to cut my hair or I'm out... I don't really know what to do besides find another station because I want to be a fireman, but am attached to my hair (quite literally) heh. Yeah I would really like everyone to quit being so narrow-minded chicks can have long hair, but dudes have to have short hair is bullshit.
LMAO you can't say that... PPE consists of: Bunker pants, boots, suspenders, bunker coat, NOMEX (covers hair, neck, ears, forehead) HAT (goes on top of nomex which is even MORE protection) and SCBA mask/pack. Soo... yeah hair is fine. Actually there are female firefighters with long hair they just don't like the guys to have hair past their ear lobes.
yeah lol I forgot to list gloves, but I really don't like the ones I have that's probably why I wasn't thinking about them.
threatten them woith relifios descrimination lawsuite or descrimination in general.hell sex descrimination in the past ive had female freinds who are roofers sue to be allowed to work topless on roofs because the men were alowed to u can fight it and sau its sexual descriminatiomn ofg women atr allowed long haoir then mwen must be too
Argeed im having the hardest time with working because everyone discriminates me of my hair... they just say dont even bother filling out this application enless u plan on coming back with your hair cut... sucks but im DEF not cutting it
I'm actually thinking hard on cutting it because I want to work the EMT field as well... I have put so much work in keeping my hair maintained in thin dreads, and don't want to lose them. However it's getting to the point where all this discrimination is fuing everyones way of life.
I have no money to file lawsuit and it wouldn't be worth it because I have to work with them haha. living in a country where people care so much about looking "clean and professional" is pretty much bull because I can work as hard if not harder than any of those shaved headed cock stains that frown upon hair.
ya probly need no money to suree 1st off just the threat of a legal action should be plenty but if not the aclu can get involved or theres free legal aid or just defend yourself its a very simple case..clearly descrimination
if there are no other male w/ long hair then there is no discrimination if there are then theres discrimination they provided you their rules and the choice is completely yours eithr you go with it or fuck it. let your priorities guide you peace
you're right... I haven't been good at getting my priorities straight.:cheers2: the man won this time.
your wring there us discrumination if wimen are alowed long hair men must be as well just like every case where men are alowed to be shirtless when it went to court women had to be alowed the same rights.. the discrimination is not based on other men bu6t on all people..people have the same rights regardless of sex
what youre saying is equal rights in general and we all know that its never equal. what i'm saying is they have their own rules there and if there are other male working in that dept w/ long hair and hah was told to cut his hair then that would be discrimination.
i agree with unggoi, priorities first.... its a career versus your hair.... hair grows remember that! finding a new path for your career isnt as easy...
Hey where do you live? Perhaps go see Citizens Advice or something to that effect. Stupid Q. Could you not cut them shorter to comply?
