In my opinion, it is one of the best young adult fictionals out there right now.

    Has anyone else read?

You know, I read this book my sophomore year in high school and I down right thought it was beautiful, and really, it's influenced me a lot. I think everyone should read it just to remind themselves how incredible it is to be alive.

It was practically my bible in high school. I gave my copy to my husband when we first started dating, the same way Charlie gave his favorite books away. My copy was filled with notes and pictures and stuff in the margins. That copy got lost when my husband let a friend borrow it. He asked me if he could and I said of course, because I honestly think everyone should read that book. I didn't know that the person would lose it, though. *sigh* That's life, I guess. I have a new copy now that I have left blank, though I do open it up occasionally and read parts of it. I'm 25 now, but I will always relate to sweet Charlie. :)

I'm re-reading this right now. I read it for the first time when I was 15 and fell in love with it.

I think his mental condition was just major depression. Anyway, I enjoyed the book when I was younger because I was depressed. I've kinda moved away from negative feelings. I'll just say that the book is great if you can relate or if the dialouge is pleasing to your imagination.

I see the last post on here was a couple months ago. But I just wanted to say how much I love this book. I cry everytime I read it. Everytime I read it I get through it in 1-2 days. (I normally don't read much, when I do, it takes me quite some time.. and it says something when i say everytime because usually I will only read a book once)

He is such an amazing person..the things that go through his mind are amazing. We think a lot alike and have a lot in common. (TheSmiths<3) haha I just all around love the book.

Hipster garbage with very little literary merit/quality.

That sucks, there is a whole plethora of better literature out there.
