You should see the way trees respond to really loud psychedelic trance music...

they absorb it, love it, reflect it...

it makes the outdoor environment so much more alive!

    Love you guys :)

Though I'm the first to admit I don't have a great voice - they all start fluttering and such when I go singing to them.

Shoulda added - my brother (who lives in Cali) who Does have an excellent voice - been paid for it, even - now if you have the sensitivity of even a snail you can see the plants and trees Love listening to him.
(I "force" him to go to the land and sing on his yearly visit.)

Monsanto is such a gross, creepy company. One of these days their going to give us all some incurable plant cancer or something.

I've wondered about that - and all the recent "episodes" of vegetables being "contaminated" - but Nobody could decide where. And since when in the hell can a Plant have/pass on e-coli, which I though Had to be passed on by poorly cooked And contaminated meat.

Fritz and infinito - loved all y'alls thoughts here.:D

(re money - circumstances beyond my control forced me some time ago to learn to live with only the most basic of things - Not including trips to the mall or fast food.:D That being said - after I finally accepted that, I've never been happier and am now Glad I easily do w/out what many think they must have.)

Well it's not so much that they're passing ecoli (unless I've missed something) but when you're fiddling with DNA, essentialy forcing plants to produce their own forms of nasty insecticides, it's a real crap shoot as to what sort of impact these new chemicals are going to have on the humans and wildlife which depend on them for survival. Much like how all the growth hormone we pump nto our beef supply has given an unprecedented rise in average bra size thru 5th grade classrooms across our Country, Not good to shake "God's" dice like that.

http://idigmygarden.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11751 Just one of many threads on them in the gardening forum I frequent. They've got the coolest little Pioneer era styled village set up where they have their seed store, unique lil buisness, all heirloom seeds.

I'm probably mistaken; but, I thought spinach and/or lettuce had passed on ecoli way early in the year, or late last year. There was something going w/ both of them because I was working in a diner at the time and very glad those dumb butts I worked w/ used canned spinach. The lettuce scare was in another state (not SC).

Also - meant to say earlier - loved that poem, Fritz. Did you write it?

Ahhh, I was under the impression that the widespread outbreaks were due to unsanitary processing, i.e. the slave-wage laborers used to clean the equipment decided to not give a crap, or some corporate schill wanted to increase profit margins so they started diluting their sanitizers with sewer water or something typicly foolish of industry along those lines. But in hindsight, I'd suppose that it would be possible for a species to be bred in such a way as to where it would loose it's natural defenses against disease, sort of like us with overuse of antibiotics and sanitizers which sort of weaken our immune systems by not making them work against bacteria themselves.

Poem? If you mean the quote in my Signature it's just an excerpt from my new favorite book, the url is below it, sorry, wouldnt let me put a clickable url in the Sig. It's a good read if you feel like reexamining your personal philosophies, Ego, world around you etc. It's at least some flavorful food for thought.

Perhaps we should start "The open discourse" thread somwhere? But then I suppose confusion leads to reflection :)

OMG! They really used Moneysatanis outright?! Dang, thats what I get for passing out at 8 p.m. :(

Let's hope Fringe follows suit. :D

One bright side to new shows inevitably relying on reruns to get them thru a season I guess.

But hey, I'm a mechanic, so in my eye's that's a good thing.

    :D

Tickets to the Vegan concert where Tool performed, $50
Look on the faces of audience members as Tool played Disgustapated for them, Priceless.

    :cheers2:
