I got charged with Possession of Marijuana last week. This is my first time involved with the law and I am afraid of what is going to happen with this case. I am in Ohio and I was wondering if anyone is knowledgable about about what punishment/sentence I am facing? Help! It was a little less than 1/2 an OZ.

You should be alright, and don't worry about jobs or college because they don't look at misdemeanors.
thank you so much, I am starting to calm down. I am in grad school and I don't want this to ruin my life. Someday the shit will be legalized and hopefully I can laugh about my bad experience with the law treating me like shit. I was called a dumb pothead and punished for not being a snitch.

scarikari, just wondering if you have to make a court appearance and if ya had any paraphernalia at the time. I'm in ohio and just curious what could happen. Had a couple friends just get their stuff taken away and thats it so I guess it depends on where you are and how lax the po are.
Dude, I got charged with possession twice. Went to class for it and a fellow student became my ne dealer...hahahaha!!!! no jail time....In CT.
