I am desperate to find our much loved family dog, I have done everything physically possible to find her. Even if she is no longer with us we would still like to bury her at her home. She disappeared around the 3rd October from our home which id very unusual for her. Name is Dusty. Please if anyone can help???
I'm so sorry. I lost a cat when I was young...I don't want to go into the details, it was very hard...and a dog named Cindy, who was a purebred cockerspaniel with obvious inbred immune deficiencies - but I didn't understand all this when I lost her. Again, I'm sorry...but the answers God gives us are sometimes for the development of our spirits, and not for our physical comfort. I buried a beloved pet once. God's mercy and strength to you and your family. But I offer this: A Zen Buddhist koan. The student asked, "Does a dog have Buddha nature?" The master answered, "MU!" Which is the Chinese syllable meaning, "Nothing," or "No thing." All our natures are in essence nothing... Everything is the same thing pretending to be different things. We all are together and now or someday will experience this one-ness. As the Bible says: Now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face... "Through a glass darkly..." Peace and comfort is not always God's answer, but it is always our choice.
Interesting ... i never read/heard that one. One thing that was often repeated on another forum i used to visit ... "Fear colours darkly."
"Now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face...then we will know fully, just as we are fully known." It's from the Bible - first letter from Paul to the Corinthians, chapter 13. The whole chapter is good, and often quoted as the definitive description of love. It starts out, "If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become a sounding brass or a clanging cymbal." I have some issues with the apostle Paul, but I have to admit he came up with some pretty good material sometimes.
Nope. Sorry. But if you hang around here for a while, somebody might show up who knows. I wouldn't count on it, though.
Well I counted on it and got a very good reading from Windy, by way of a private message. At least some people on here are of good use. And I have been hanging here since 2004!
Oh, yeah, I do remember seeing you on this forum before, but it's been a long time since you've posted, I think. Yeah, if it weren't for Windy this forum would be total BS, all righty. Well good then, I'm glad you got some help. Let us know what happens, wudja?
you live near a wild area? sometimes dogs wander off and get in fights with or get curious about wild life animals like porcupines etc so they might get into a fight with some sort of animal
i have contacted Dusty . she says she is ok , had been traveling free and is now still in motion but not quite so free . this could mean she is being kept in a fenced yard .
How funny you should mention an porcupine, we do live in a rurul area and up untill about a week ago I had never heard of anyone seeing a porcupine in the area. One was spotted at a friends house recently.
sorry , mum , as best i can read it dusty cannot be found by searching . the human who holds her intends to keep her and refuses to communicate with me about her return . it's up to you . only you may make the heartful appeal to that emotionally needy person's high-self . what might happen is unknowable . dusty is ok , tho not so much as with you . she is more near than far .
thanks for all ur replies.. we still havent found our beautiful dog. does anyone see us ever finding her?
