I'm watching the debate and I'm almost falling off my chair laughing at the crap that the idiot is pulling out of his ass. "Partial birth abortion is a brutal practice", but killing iraqi civillians is not??!! WTF? It's OK to get flu shots from englend before the factory shut down, but its dangerous to get any drugs from canada? What an Idiot!!!!
in regard to flu shots, he also said the FDA acted appropriately in banning Chiron's vaccine. The FDA APPROVED the vaccine, Britain did not approve it and put a stop to any shipment of it.
Also, I was denied federal financial aid/Pell Grant because I "make too much money." I wish that was the case!
yeah the flu shot thing compared to the drugs from canada not being "safe" is a crock... im finding this debate pretty boring though. not too much new said at all....
I liked what kerry had to say about minimum wage, $7.00 would be much better than $5.15 or whatever it is right now. And in the post coverage, Rudie Guliani just said that Bush has done a great job paying down the deficit. What a joke.
Kerry won this one. Not by a lot, but rather obviously. Highlight of the debate were the jokes... I like the way that both candidates can laugh at themselves... even though I must admit, Bush has a better sense of humour.
Raising minumum wage is false hope. I'm suprised Bush didn't rebut(sp?) that one better. All increasing minumum wage does is cause inflation, simply paying people more money and thinking they'll be better off for it is third grade economics.
Looking at it from the perspective of a typical, dumbed-down, idiot American, I would say this debate was a draw. It was more of the same rhetoric, and of course neither of them won me over with their nonsense. I liked Kerry's "Tony Soprano" remark, though. That made me chuckle.
Didn't he say that Pell Grants were $5,100/year....I get much less than that. Also, every family got the child tax credit?!? We have two kids and got NO tax credit. Why? We didn't make enough money.
What love-fest? I listened at work on the radio, I'll have to check out some clips online. I was kinda busy and didn't get to listen that closely to this debate, but it sounded much like the last one. Kerry won.
You mean you didn't puke? Those last 15 minutes were so warm and fuzzy, I had to go out and kill 10 babies afterward to make sure my balls were still intact. Seriously. The last thing I want to hear in a presidential debate is Dubya remeniscing about how he met his wife at drunken frat par....I mean, a barbecue. Or Kerry talking about how great his mom is (ironic that he should bring up how his mother told him integrity was important, since he has none). It's like they're not even trying to bullshit us anymore.
Kerry won all three as far as I'm concerned, and it's not just because I dislike Bush. Kerry is much more articulate and personable, but to tell the truth, I doubt things will get much better with him as President. They're all cut from the same mold. I like how Bush went on about how America had entrusted its supply of flu vaccine to a British corporation when in fact it's based in the US. Or when he claimed that he had never stated that he was no longer "concerned" about Osama bin Laden, but sure enough CNN airs a clip from a news conference in which he does say just that. Lucky for him there aren't any more debates because he's really making a fool of himself.
Bush was a different person in all three debates. Frustrated and peeved in the 1st, overly emotional in the 2nd, and smiling and goofy in the 3rd. Difficult to see how people feel safe with someone who appears emotionally unstable.
My sentiments exactly! I knew we were in trouble when this man was "elected"...and after watching the debates, I now know why. Totally unstable. PBS ran a two hour documentary the other night that I would highly recommend to anyone interested. It was a portrait of Bush and Kerry from their college years till present day. Talk about your contrasts! So many folks say there is not much difference between the two, but, after watching this documentary, I would REALLY beg to differ with those folks...
