i have to carry around a baby doll for my child development class next week...i dressed him in jeans with a chain , black t-shirt, leather jacket, adn red bandana...hes such a biker baby hahah lol i wonder who that dad is...lol

But seriously... I was thinking. Perhaps the people who are here are simply not trying hard enough. Answer me this: How often do you approach people who appeal to you and strike up a conversation with them?

Maybe our social skills just suck. That would explain why nice people don't always have the best luck in the relationship field. It's the people who have the best social skills who will never have a problem attracting people.

I don't know, maybe that's something we need to work on.

yea...being shy is really rough =/ iv always been shy growing up, i think a lot of it had to do with me being in a catholic school till 6th grade... same 25 kids all 6 years...andnot one of em nice...i think the best thing that ever happened to me was moveing and being forced to b with a group of over 200 kids...it helped me a lot to not get over being shy, but to deal with it better sometimes. i no not all of u can do that, or need it lol i mean, ur not gonna go and ask to move! lol but sometimes things like that in life work out for the best i hope all the shy ppl of the world can encounter something like i did that will help u with the shyness

It's not just the sex... altought a big part of it it is, it's all the intimacy and capacity to reach others... i just guess if i had the confidence to reach the sex part, that would mean that i would have overcome this social anxiety that consumes, i'm 23, i barely talk to people, NEVER to girls. Sex fantasies and obssession is just a way (i think) a young adult male like me acuses the void. I felt alone all my life, altough my family is not the worst, they neglected me, failed to help me become confident and capable. I pass the days in social anxiety, people like winners, happy, confident, emotionally stable, sensitive guys, i am not there,i know that, i can rationalize to this point , now i'm too terrified to do something useful about that...

You got it right, social skills, not emotional needs, it's what will determine how lonely each one of us are. I know the solution is walk on to people, but the problem is that i KNOW that most people are not the CARING type, most are cold and self absorb, and with a strick idea of the kind of person they like to be around. And on top of that, i think of myself as one cold, self absorb person, i mean, each time i wonder about how much do i miss, i realize i'm so focused on me and on my problem that does not look like i could give anyone anything... i can't help it, i can't...

I wish I could move. The reason being that here in littlel ole Texas I'm too 'not shy'. Does that make sense? Not really.

I've kind of grown old of my friends and I guess I think it would be better if I went somewhere new and found new people to communicate with...?

See, I can identify with that last situation. I have wonderful social skills and am somewhat attractive, but I attract all kinds of the wrong people... People who use me for the things I have, rather than being with me for who I am. It's not that I have a whole lot - I'm a glorified secretary, after all - its the fact that I'll give you the last dollar in my pocket or the shirt off my back...

Because I'm a fucking sucker.

O please. Don't even joke about things like that.
That's just a depressing thought.
