A threat would also help rule out a misunderstanding. You don't want to shoot someone in the head and find out that it was actually someone else. There is nothing cowardly about not wanting to actually kill someone until you have no choice.
Why shoot them? I mean if they are walking up to you impossing a threat on you and you feel a need to react in some way it should not be a returned threat, it should be a means to end the threat against you before the threat can harm you. Never should you just randomly go around making threats is the point of this thread not guns. We got side tract talking about guns is all.
The whole idea of wanting to manipulate and create fear to another is wrong under any circumstance. So under our example its acceptable for some asshole to go around to women and tell them to perform sexual acts or get killed (its a threat) or a larger stronger male to go up to a smaller weaker guy and demand his money or get beat to a pulp?? The woman and the weaker guy are supposed to reply with another threat back? I am saying that if threatend you dont return the threat, you react. As for the gun deal I love people who dislike guns. Its not for everyone and its great to see they know this about themselves. Its safer to not have one if you had nothing to do with it.
i never told someone i'd knock them out beforehand....i just did it...then told them i would do it again if need be
I don't threaten people and I dont take threats lightly..if someone threatens me, they better be willing to carry out the threat..
Oh Im not saying it's right, Im saying why people do it. I even hate it when I have to tell Jack no more cartoons or ok, let's go to bed so he can turn into a good baby. I actually had that conversation with him the other, that I dont like having to tell him that Im gonna take something away from him or make him go to bed so he can do or dont do things, but he wasnt very much interested in what I had to say
probably not knowing how to control there anger at that moment then having the feeling they have to rap about it
