ha ha i got my braces today, they didnt hurt like i thought they would but they have cut my mouth and that hurt! lolz! i got to choose a colour and i didnt know which ones i wanted so i quickly chose pink andblack! pinks my fave colour! next time i wanna get purple and orange to go with my room! lolz! im really not used to them and tried to eat some rice today; big mistake! i had braces i always got navy blue and cobalt blue...thoes go well together and they dont stand out a lot... braces arent that bad...just dont pop one off or it will make the whole prosses take a bunch longer and after you get em of seriously wear the retainer they give you!!! i cant stress that enough!!!
I had braces too but the traditional metal ones. I found it to be a very painful experience but I don't regret it. A huge thanks to Mum and Dad for improving my face 100%. I can vouch for religious wearing of the plate (retainer). I found it too painful and now the teeth in my lower jaw have gone crooked again.
I wish I could have had braces. My dad was too much of a cheap bastard to get them for me, though. When it was time to get them, he spent twice as much money on lawyers trying to change the child support agreement around that he would have spent if he'd just bought the damn braces. People and their principles. So, now I have ugly teeth and I'll never marry a prince. I hope he's happy.

when i was 14 i had a set... and i seriously had to go get them fixed every 2 weeks. i was always breaking them off by accident playing hockey or drinking beer or somesuch
I had braces too when I was 16.....all for one stupid tooth! I only had them on the top though, and I had clear braces. Word of advice.......floss good, brush really good, and like willy said, wear the retainer! I had the hottest dentist alive though.........
Braces suck ass. Seriously, like... two or three days after I got mine on, 4 brackets busted off. I was so pissed because the wire was stabbing the side of my mouth. LOL, I had to make an *emergency* appointment. I stopped wearing mine after about a year and a half. I hate them.
i cant stand them! today at school they really really hurt! they still do! and i cant eat! aww! damn the orthodontist!
hahaha, I just got my braces off about two years ago maybe..but I got them when i was like 18 or 19 had to pay for them myself but yeah..they suck..atleast you are young and will have them off soon.. But it was well worth it, i love my chompers now
i worn braces when i was about 15/16...i wish i had worn the retainer afterwards, i think my teeth are back to the way they were befor ehaving the braces. in the first month. they'll be uncomfortable and you're mouth will be sore, after that you'll get used to having them. advice:wash properly! and floss!!
I just got mine off a week ago Use tons of wax, get some orajel (you put it on a cut and it numbs it right away), and my advice for when they adjust them every month, get a teething ring it feels great
i've had mine on for about 2 1/2 yrs... i am so ready for them to come off. my next appt. is the 27th... anyway! they don't hurt ever anymore, but in the beginning i would get really chapped lips and canker sores... ouchie! and it would hurt to eat... brush and floss! wear your retainer! don't miss appointments! wear your rubber bands! use wax and get orajel! and be patient
oh i would also like to add that my parents refused to pay for any of it... so i'm using their health insurance (since i'm in school i'm still on their ins.) and i'm paying the rest... and i'm 21 now, it was weird having them so late at first, but eh, you get used to it and some ppl think they're cute.
i am 15 and have had mine on for about 5-6 months, and have to have em for about a year - 18months.... I don't mind them, they didn't hurt nearly as much as I thought they would, and I am used to them now. It was cool, cos my teeth have straighten really quick, but I guess they weren't that bad to begin with.... Anyway, don't stress to much, just think that its only like 1-2 years, and then you'll have fab teeth forever, if you wear the retainer i guess
I wore braces for less than a year because we had a special type of braces. They were triangle shaped and moved quicked than regualr braces. They were cool.
ok mine r starting to get on my nerves now, they have cut my mouth wichhurts and i have ooked for oragel tigerlily but cant find it! i do use the wax but only at night and when im at home. i will keep looking for something to stop it hurting! lolz. thanx alot guys xxxxxxxxxxxx
get a little tube of oragel, and before you go to school, squeeze the WHOLE tube in your mouth and swirl it around... it's a rush
