Do you hate the modern world?

I can't stand the world we'll living in right now. Part of the reason lies with the life I'm living but I just think this world is becoming more and more fucked up. I don't like reading newspapers or watching the news. It's all about the crappy economy and people committing various crimes and getting off scot free. Everyday I ride on the tube and I'm fed up of seeing stressed faces everywhere. The atmosphere at work is horrible and I feel I'm wishing my life away when I'm there. No one has time for anyone cos people work crazy hours. Everything is so expensive and I feel stuck in a rut.

I just wanna get away from it all and go live on a little island and live a quiet life. The modern world is driving me crazy.

I need to vent.

 

Better learn to deal with it. The world is only going to get moderner.

people are fucked up all on their own, it has nothing to do with the times. things have ALWAYS been fucked.

look into the salem witch trials, the african diaspora, the opium wars, the children's crusade, manifest destiny, and the bolshevik revolution.

people are screwy. the more people around, the more fucked up shit will happen

 

as much as I hate materialism, no, I don't.
things have been much better in the last 100 years than they ever have been. these days women don't often die in childbirth, for instance.

yea modern living sucks, but if you were alive in the 40s that wud have been modern or alive in the 60s that wud have been modern to and youd probably have similar pet hates about that culture you are living in....i know what u mean about work, my job is the same full of people who dont seem to consider a happy workforce to be an importance just as long as your churning out spreadsheets and shittin stats with no brew brakes. the coperate machine..........to break away would be heaven, heaven without a roof over my head though................what am i going on about here

 

Hate is such an ugly word. I "strongly dislike" the modern world and am migrating toward a mountain living situation. And when I say "migrating toward" I mean that I am just waiting for enough money to make it through the first year. Very, very soon...

I like color television..what a great invention..but now I need cable in order to watch it, which I dont have or want..I do have DVD's though.

 

The modern world has good and bad points, but I certainly wouldnt be riding the metro to a job I hate everyday. That makes it worse.
