Why the hell is there a war going on? All that money could go on decreasing the prices of solar panel production (Maybe with slightly raised taxes, read on) and saving the world, it isn't even important to fight for whatever reason! Shit happens, if we simply strictly didn't allow Arabs and other rivals to go to the US, maybe those that wanted to go here for non-violent purposes would hate their country for that, and we in the US would move on with nature-saving technology, not needing huge amounts of drug money ruining so many innocent people's lives and making every popular substance illegal to only ruin others lives and kill others over in that other country. Maybe we could even raise money in the process, and maximize the defense systems, so then they won't fuck with us again.

    i'm sorry, what?

You are suggesting keeping arabs out of the country to accomplish what exactly? Blowback against what now?

Do you know any arabs? Do you even know what an arab is?

If we keep em out, and having strict defense systems during that time period where the government slowly keeps improving the defense systems, we can also highly promote nature-saving technology and save a lot of innocent lives in the process.

Of course, I don't mean this as in we should do this, I meant that we should have done this.

We can't even say for sure who bombed our towers or pentagon. We went into to Afghanastan to capture Bin Ladin dead or alive, smoke him out of his cave, but in 2002 our president was no longer interested in his capture.

We waged war with Iraq, because of faulty intelligence. We surged our troops, and now more Christians are fleeing the area.

The world thinks we're crazy, or economy is in the shitter.

I am not sure war accomplished anything. Does it ever? It's made some people very wealthy: Haliburton, Blackwater, KBR and their ilk. Is that what we go to war for?

If anything, we need MORE arabs. The more heterogeneous our country is, the less susceptible we are to attacks motivated by cultural difference. Not to mention, we need speakers of arabic, farsi, pashto, urdu, and many other languages so we can improve our monitoring capabilities. Currently we have very little capabilities in that area.

If we had cooperation between the NSA and the FBI, 9/11 would have been averted. If the people at NSA were able to translate the communications they intercept, they would probably stop listening to pillow talk between american soldiers and their wives at home. Better yet, we should require a warrant to intercept communications between americans, so that they naturally focus on the stuff they are supposed to be listening to. While we're at it, we can end the privatization of intelligence gathering and stop outsourcing our intercept systems to foreign companies.

Let's start with that, not a racist and misguided immigration policy.

We don't have people in our secret service that can interpret arabic? The world's greatest power? We didn't in 2001?

We can now all enroll our children in arabic or chinese courses. That will protect us? Not if the terrorists are actually internal speculators and opportunists.

Or we can live our lives without trying to one up the other guy. We can innovate, we can be productive with our own natural resources. We can look to environmentally sound solutions, and that doesn't include the new cap and trade shit the market is trying to sell us. How can we really see selling a privelege to pollute. It makes no sense. Pollution is wrong, not a commodity to sell. It will be the next bubble if allowed to happen. Like selling homes to poor people that can't afford them, how really can we view this scam as something that is good or us.

Banks sold those mortages because they thought they couldn't lose. Housing prices would continue to rise, even if people defaulted they still won. Well there's a point where anything is outrageous. Housing prices became outrageous. Selling the right to pollute to me is outrageous before it ever gets off the ground.

If it's illegal to pollute...then don't. The fact that you don't doesn't give you a market advantage, it means you are abiding by the law. Nothing more, nothing less. You haven't got anything to sell, you are abiding by the law.

Religions like Muslim, nationalities aren't the big problems in the world greed is. And the greedy seem to hide without nationality or religion, they use ours against each other to meet their own goals.

surprisingly, it's true. We STILL have a shortage of interpreters of the languages I mentioned in our employ. What you just suggested is great, but we still need to monitor foreign activity in a reasonable and targeted way.

Of course, the same govt that is desperate for speakers of Arabic will fire them for being openly gay. doh!
