ok my period has been coming every two weeks... and it's meant to be every month... whaaatttss goinnnggg onnnnnnn?
if you had sex after your last period ended, then have a pregnancy test if you hadnt, well, sometimes our bosy works in weird ways, sometimes the weather can affect your cycle, so dont worry too much. I was never regular until about a year ago, i used to get my period every now and then, but now it's every month aaaaarhg!
if she's getting her period every two weeks, I seriously doubt she's pregnant. daisys, see a gynecologist.
if it's a normal period every two weeks, then i'd definitely rule out the pregnancy. (in between bleeding since your last period that's light can be implantation bleeding - although i think it's exaggerated how often that even happens, i've seen some medical sources that don't even believe in it, and others that have said only about 1-2% of women will experience it.) but anyway, yeah, doctor is your beeeest bet! good luck
I never had any implantation bleeding myself with any of my 4 pregnancies, but I have talked to a LOT of women who had it. The pregnancy boards I used to frequent were filled with women concerned that they were miscarrying due to bleeding while pregnant, yet they went on to carry their babies to full term with no problems whatsoever. I was thankful that I never had any implantation bleeding, because I would have flipped out. I lost 2 pregnancies (I was pregnant 4 times, but had twins with my last pregnancy, so I have 3 little ones now) and if I would have been bleeding during a normal pregnancy, I would have been a nervous wreck. It doesn't sound to me though, that what you're having is a result of pregnancy. Your cycles might just be really out of whack right now. Are you on any form of "chemical" birth control that could be altering your monthly cycles? Or, when you DO have this bleeding, is it like a period, or it is lighter? Heavier? I'd definitely talk to your doctor and see what's up. If you're on a birth control pill, your hormone level might be too low, or too high, and it could be causing you to bleed more than usual. But, it probably wouldn't hurt to take a HPT, just in case, or have your doctor do some lab work to check for the pregnancy hormone HCG, in which case, is the most accurate pregnancy test, and can be done earlier than a urine test. Good luck, and make sure you call that doc to see what's up! Much peace.
do you live with another chic(s)? if you do, that will completely screw up your cycle. Before my sister moved out, we had one other room mate and while Kat and I battled it out for dominate female, poor RL bled for a month straight. Me and Kat had a period less than every two weeks, until eventually all 3 of us started menstrating at the same time. That shit was ROUGH!
hippychickmommy made a good point about birth control. when i was on the pill, i'd use it to skip my period every now and then. when i finally stopped taking the pill, i got my period every two weeks for about 6 weeks.. but then it cleared up and went right back to normal. now that i'm off the pill, i'm like clockwork. how long has this been going on? i hope everything gets back on track and that you're not having a serious health problem. good luck, lady! <3
hey thanks for your replies chicks. I haven't had sex, I'm still a virgin so it can't be a pregnancy thing. It's been going on for about 3months now, in spring/summer it was normal until now! Also "normal" is 7 days! periods shouldn't last that long :S I only live with my mom but that wouldnt screw up my system have been with her all my life. Maybe it's the weather, I dunno :S eee! I may take your advice and go see the doc. Thanks again x ps if any more of you have any ideas keep posting :s
my period usually lasts for six days... i hear 5-7 days is the average, though that info might be outdated or inaccurate. i don't think seven would be abnormal.. especially if the last day or two are really light. there are a lot of mixed opinions about the pill, and about different brands of pills. i'm not familiar with what they've got going on in the uk, but your doctor might recommend the pill to regulate your cycle. the pill will most likely make your period shorter.. mine were only five days (instead of six or seven). good luck!
are you counting from the first day you start your period until the first day you start the next period? I was just thinking if you're only counting the time you're not on your period then really you're going 3 weeks between periods... which is still kinda often, but not as bad. the past few months I've been having period problems as well. I've been incredibly moody (i used to not PMS at all) and they've come pretty regularly ever 3 weeks and maybe 2 days, and only lasting about 3-4 days... I'm thinking of getting back on b.c. but the last time i was on i was on depo-provera and ended up not having a period for over a year... then it came back like this. i wish you the best of luck girl in figuring out what's wrong and getting it all fixed up
