I get up, go to breakfast barefoot
then i go to advisor/assembly with shoes
and I'm always like 'okay, I'll take off my shoes during class'
    I never do though
teachers have clearly seen my barefootedness, they don't care
grr I need to take them off.
anyone gone to school barefoot? what reactions did you get?
I go to private school, but they don't have a dress code. I mean, obviously don't come to school dressed like a whore, or wear clothes with swears on it. But it's a very casual school. I need more bravery
    give me motivation :D

Ignore the others, and do it. The only way you'll be more comfortable about it is to relax and give it a go. Don't let yourself get discouraged.

Do it I used to go to class barefoot and for the most part no one cared and every now and then some one would say something and you just respond o yeah I'll go get my shoes and walk off. You will be so much more comfortable sitting in class and just walking around school with out your shoes.

You pretty much just have to go for it. Pick a day to start going barefoot and see how it goes.

I'm glad the school is a bit relaxed about is dress code. ""Back in the day" (1970s), I went to a private, all boys high school. We had to wear coats, ties, dress shoes, and no "unusual hair styles" or facial hair. We got a great education, but being all boys, we were pretty socially inept when we graduated. During my senior year, the assistant principal came in to our class for a casual discussion. One of the students said "when I get out, I'm gonna grow my hair, grow a beard, and go barefoot to college." The assistane principal just laughed and said that you could always tell students from our school on a college campus, they were the dirtiest, hairest, and most rebellious. Looking back, it was all pretty funny, and yes, the assistant principal was right about the graduates rebelling as soon as they got out.

Enjoy the relaxed dress code at your school. If bare feet are tolerated, go for it! As for me, I've settled into middle age quite nicely but still have a bit of a rebellious streak. I was a late bloomer as far as going barefoot, so embrace the freedoms you have.

since i was 15 i was in a boarding school. Went barefoot a lot there. Some teachers didn't like it at first, but they gave up after some time. So i had my freedom ;-)

well, I'm 15, I go to a boarding school, woo hoo! I'll try that
    I mean
I doubt it's in the handbook, and I can't get in trouble for it anyways. it's not like I was doing drugs, I just didn't wear shoes.

I go barefoot in school occasionally - not as often as I used to, since it's gotten cold in ND. Just don't worry about what people will say, and if they give you shit turn it around on them.
