I suddenly got this great idea, would herbs like 'Calea zacatechichi' or 'Mugwort' which supposedly make your dreams extremely lucid, boost the effects of hallucinogens? I was originally going to post this in 'DMT' cause it's the drug that's let out while you're dreaming and it has the highest chance of success, but I was also wondering about other hallucinogens, anyone wanna try it?

Hopefully someone will try it and post the answer here, unfortunately, I don't have any strong/non-mild hallucinogens available to try it. Hey but, if I find any mugwort/calea zacatechichi extracts or something, I'll try it with catnip and see if there's a noticeable difference.

I read about someone's experience in catnip, and he said it caused lucid dreaming the night he drank the tea, chances are that catnip alters a part of the brain that links to dreaming, making it possible that a dream potienator can alter or boost the effects of catnip.

you should try it and get back to us - I dont really understand any of those 'dreamtime' chemicals. I cant imagine anyone coming back with enough of a recollection of their dream for a report of the effects to be clear enough. Unless the effect is to make the memory of dreams more vivid?

    it's called synergy...
working it's magic whether you can feel it or not.

No, that isn't actually what I meant. I meant ingesting a dreamtime chemical and a hallucinogen, and seeing if the dreamtime chemical noticeably alters the hallucinogen's effects.

Dreamtime chemicals would make you remember your dreams like they happened almost, if not fully in reality. DMT trips are like dreams, and they're supposedly even harder to remember, but they're still more intense, with you feeling more "alive". Imagine if you remember your DMT trips, every detail.

This vid might help you understand calea zacatechichi:

No offense, but you shouldn't talk about DMT trips unless you've actually gone down that tunnel...

Well, for one, I can remember every detail from all of my trips through hyperspace.

And FYI, Calea doesn't work for me...it just gives me a fever and keeps me awake for long periods of time. I'm kind of a freak of nature.

So there's my take on all this...

My advice...keep exploring, but don't make assumptions.

Find out for yourself how this synergy works.

Im pretty sure I got what you meant, hence my sentiment - try it and get back to us

makes sense that it would influence trips if it influences dreams but not waking life

I just dont see how it can really influence dreams much

I thought it was DMT that wasn't the rememberable experience, just checked erowid and it turned out that it was 5-MeO-DMT (smoked), maybe dream potienators would help with that kinda DMT.

Well, I guess calea doesn't work for everyone then, if calea didn't work, maybe you should try mugwort? You might get a similar result though, cause they have similar effects.

I don't know if mugwort grows near you,
but you can harvest some and just put it near your bed
and it will greatly affect your dreams.
I have personally done this with great results.

I also harvest brugmansia flowers and point them toward my head and have gained access to other realms this way.

These are very powerful teacher plants. You do not even need to ingest them.

    How does it work?

    I have absolutely no idea!

also, don't ingest too much mugwort, it's hard on the liver.

I prefer to just be with it. Try it...

    fresh cuttings work best.

I don't expect something like that to work, meh, I'm gonna try it tomorrow anyway. It probably has to do with chemicals of it being released/evaporating into the air, and you breathing them resulting in a lucid dream, very interesting, if not a myth overall.

    I don't speak myths, liquidsapphire.
I have spent my entire life working with the plant teachers, and dream yoga.
two of my most passionate fields of research.

    And you're right
    Don't expect anything, ever.

K then, I'm trying it tomorrow night, hopefully it'll work. Then mugwort would be even more interesting.

They mention this in many herbal medicine books...it's well known amongst herbalists and the like..

a plants spirit does not need to be ingested to be effective.

lots of my friends smoke mugwort because they smoke too much weed and aren't good at dreaming in the first place.

    works for them...
