all people should do this for a better world , but people is in the system , very hard to do that, we have to be happy to know this

im definalty big on smiling to anyone who can see me. it makes their day.
there was a guy busking at the trainstationa dn i walked past and smiled at him, he stopped playing, told me i had a beautiful smile and continued smiling again. i think it made both of our days.
its the small things that count, and enough of tehm add up to a big thing

This is what I was hoping the thread would do: get people relating their experiences on how a smile turned a cloudy day into a sunny one.

a man really made my day a few weeks ago we were coming out of walmart and we had just got candy for the drive in and there was this homeless guy with a sign that said 'homeless hungry god bless' and when we got the the stop sign i jumped out of the van and gave him my candy bar befeor the light changed and he looked so happy and i said god bless and smiled at him and got back in the car because the light had changed he looked so happy well i couldnt get him out of my head the while way to the drive in and i was worried he might still be hungry or cold so my mom saw my face and knew i was worried so she said wanna go back? and i said yeah so we got him some whaterburger and went back with some hot food he smileed when he saw our van again its noticable its a 76 vw westfalia and i jumped out again and gave him the food and he just smied really big and said god bless you god bless you we missed the show but i was way happier than any movie could have made me all the way home....sorrythis was so long but he really made my day just by being there and not asking for much just some food.

i agree with all of you. we all just need to spread the love around, and hopefully eventually everyone wont be so cruel. i hate watching the news because of all the horrible things happening in the states.

i live down the street from mcdonalds, and this homeless lady anne was always there with her cariage. Me and my friends would go there everyday and she'd always be there and we would give her cigarettes, so she wouldnt have to keep rolling them and taking cigarettes outta the ashtray outside. One day me my boyfriend and his sister were sitting there listening to music and she told us that she liked the song we were listening too. So we went to walmart to buy her a cd player and the cd she was the cutest lady ever, but shes not around anymore, idk what happened to her but i hope shes well <3

we all just need to do good things !

forced to agree here, and you just pointed out to me how much of a twit I can be myself Once I really hated this girl i didnt even really know for kissing my ex when I was still with him
and two years later, we were talking without me knowing it was her, untill another half an hour had passed, and she was so nice! I really liked her, so we solved our differences and came to the conclusion the dude is an ashole But I forgave him eventually, some people are lost, none are evil.

We should all create peace on this world and make people happy for a smile can travel the world!

Edit: PAX, a mean world can be turned to a good world, we just gotta believe!
All of us have the power to do this!
I once heard that you have enough energy in you to light a city as a human being, and if thats true, then we should all be able to lighten the world, with our collective of love, and spread so many smiles that no one will be unhappy anymore!!

 

I just finished watching a documentary -" Pete Seeger The Power of Song" and there was a very beautiful quote in there:
" the only way you can beat back the darkness is with the light". and I think a smile is a good place to start showing the light.
