How many peoples parent are okay with you smoking

How many peoples parents let you smoke or did when you were still living with them?

My mom is definately against it, it really sucks. I wish she was cool with it then I could just light up in my room (wait I already do).

 

I get mixed feelings. There've been times recently where I've almost just come out and told my mom, but I think it's better to keep my mouth shut. I mean, her boss smokes and admitted to it and she seems ok with it (shit, my mom recommends it to her patients sometimes, since she's a cancer nurse). Also, two of her brothers do it, but she seems less cool with them doing it. Maybe because she doesn't get along with them. And my dad, he used to toke, even after I was born, and at least one of his bros smokes now. My parents came up in the 70's (and my uncles that smoke all went to Vietnam or were in the service). But ever since he quit drinking he seems more anti-substance-use than he used to.

Anyways, I like to think they'd be cool with me doing it give their history and what seems to be an accepting attitude; but I guess it's always different when it's your own kid.

 

Mine don't care. They care but they don't get pissy or tell me not to do it.


Then again, I'm 18, and they can't tell me not to do anything, anyways.

 

I know this is the marijauna forum, but not sure what you're talking about. I wouldn't condemn a parent for allowing weed smoking, but allowing tobacco smoking is just bad parenting, any way you look at it.

My mom is 100% cool with it, my dad doesn't mind me smoking, but refuses to let me smoke in the house... I'm a very fortunate son of a hippy and a guy who just had a fun child hood and knows whats up =D

 

My mom is the reason I started smoking. I got curious when I was 14 and so she said that I could smoke. She instructed her boyfriend and my uncle to take me downstairs and let me smoke as much as I could.
I smoked close to 10 bowls with them, good pot too. And then, we smoked 3 joints with one of my uncle's friends. And then my neighbour came over with a home-made bong made of 7 2-liter bottles taped together. It was filled, completely white, with smoke. He asked who wanted to clear it, and I offered. Apparently, from what my now-step-dad remembers, I cleared it myself.
And my mom was okay with this. She stayed upstairs and waited for me to get paranoid or to pass out. The former happened....heh...
She expected that I would never smoke again, but she was wrong. And she was still okay with it. I smoked with her until I quick in July.

the day my parents are fine with me smoking marijuana, is the day the world will truly know peace.

 

my mum's biggest concern isnt about smoking the weed, tis about buying it. she smokes occasionally herself with all her hippy friends. she jsut keeps asking me where i get the money and she was dissapointed when i admited to dealing.

but again, its not teh smoking, its the sociology of it. she doesnt want me mixing with bad people, or getting caught.

 

my mum and most of my family know every drug i have taken but none of them havent seemed bothered because theyv grown to realise i dont listen to anyone lol if i want to do it i will if i dont i wont.

 

I admitted to my mom that i do smoke, she was talking to her bf about how your suppost to "Goto the park when you smoke". So i figure if i dont smoke around her and dont act stupid then she doesnt care.

Mine don't know that I smoke. They thought that i quit after I got arrested, I think that maybe if I sit down with tem and show them the facts and tell them that it truly makes me happy they'd let me do it, like on weekends and stuff. Well maybe not seeing as how they dont want me to get arrested again.

 

I'm thinking the same thing; if I get this second job, I'll be working like 50 hours a week or more, so dammit, I deserve a joint now and then!

 

my mom would be furious if she found me smoking in the house or saw me buying in front of it, but she knows i smoke. doesnt like it but doesnt talk about it. all of my friends parents have been cool with drugs... ive done all sorts of drugs with & around them... seems anyones house i go to youre allowed to at least drink in it.. alcohol sucks though. now its not that big a deal cause im 20 but when i was 15 it was great to have houses to do this stuff in

damn that is awesome. It seems like every single set of my friends parents are not okay with it. But I guess its fun having to go somewhere else to smoke like spiritual places like fields or patches of trees.

My mom tends to go with the stuff that people tell her. Like it lowers testostrone, etc.

But I think mostly shes just worried I will get caught becuase I already have a record, and if for any reason I were to get caught by the police again, I would be in deep shit. And if it wasnt illegal, she probably would be okay with it.

 

My dad was never really cool with it, but he caught me 3 times and never did anything about it. He always said he'd ground me, but apparently he didn't feel up to it. I moved out 2 years ago, so now I don't have to worry about anything. I was worried about the smell, especially because I live in an apartment building, and because my favorite way to smoke is through a joint (I.E. letting the whole fucking house reak up), but the day I moved in I smelled that very familiar smell and realized that I was going to be all right. I swear to God, everyone on this fucking planet smokes cheeba. Well, maybe it's cause I smoke! lol. Man, living with parents that harp on you about Marijuana would suck. That would drive me insane.
