McCain, simply because I'd rather see him swaggering around the White house, rather than Obama. Obama would surely litter the Oval office with full lengh mirrors, and then when his 3 term is up he will have a massive heart attack, and a few years later be sainted by the pope. Not something I could tolerate hearing about for the subsequent 50 years of my life.

^the president can currently only serve two terms total.

i think an exception is made if a president comes into power by being elected as vice president and then the president dying. then i think he serves as president for the rest of the term, and is allowed to serve two FULL terms if people elect him.

The president gets two terms of his own. The president could serve 3 terms if one of them is of the situ you described. I would vote for Mccain before Obama only because he and his party represent more of my interests than does Obama and his party.

Since it looks like I have to pick between the two (realistically speaking) I chose Obama, even though I was pro-Hillary before she lost the democratic candidacy.

I really don't favor either, though.

That debate was a massive victory for Obama. McCain seemed like a patronising, senile, lifeless bag of hay - living in the past.

They both aren't great debaters and I wouldn't want both of them to run my country, but out of two bads I pick the more seemingly sensible one.

I like a lot of the things Obama has to say. If he is able to do even half of what he talks about, it would be an improvement. It's got to be better than the last 8 years of utter insanity. McCain scares mel. His main issue is winning in Iraq-what does that even mean? Is it even possible? Besides, McCain blinks too much; it's disturbing.

Yes, but you're not running for president. So no one cares :)
