okey this might not classify as a dream subject but i have a friend that has apnea and she said that when she goes to sleep sometimes she stops breathing in her sleep.....can anyone tell me why that happens and how i can help her...? cause we plan on living together and she doesn't thinkbi can handle it and im trying to learn as much as possible about it.....please help im desperate for helpful tips.........
i have sleep apnea, my best friend just told and im 19!!! she told me i scared the hell out of her when she realized i stopped snoring really loudly due to the fact i wasnt breating anymore. she said my chest would stop moving and after awhile i would breath really deeply like i was gasping for air, it usually only lasted for about 20 seconds but it can sometimes be longer with other people.it usually isnt a fatal occurrence so you dont have much to worry about. there isnt much you can do to stop it, it usually happens many times a night without anyone knowing. the only treatment is a nighttime breathing machine and i think medication. no permanent solutions im afraid.
