I ask you this personally PR. Would you rather have troops in Iraq or in Afghanistan?

    You have to choose.

IMO, I'd rather see them in Afghanistan as there is a real reason to have troops there. Secondly, the numbers would be significantly less compared to having deployed troops in Iraq.

if its an anti war stance is doesn't matter where the troops are, its supposed to be anti war.

What difference does it make what country it is?

What is the reason to have US troops in any sovereign nation?

I'm not going to try and figure out how we set our national interest, but basically troops in sovereign nations is.

So, seeing as things won't change in this up coming elections im curious as to where would our troops be best put to use....considering the situation at hand.

again, IMO and having served, I say as the economy continues to shake and rattle i say that Afghanistan will be a better option to fit and justify our national interest.

    blah blah mother fucking blah.

and especially a nation which has not attacked us as a nation?

however, i do see a difference between bloodshed in two (make that, at a minimum, four nations considering north and south korea, where shots ARE fired and received daily by our troops) sovereign nations and ONE sovereign nation.

i dont think afganistan is a better choice than iraq, though.

    i think its all bullshit.

however, i do think anywhere we can get out of will be for the best, so long as we can at least TRY to establish LEGITIMATE diplomacy.

Here's the thing. The military does not serve national interests or the best interests of the American people. The military is just another arm of the private banks and transnational corporations that run this country and use its people for their own globalist game in which we are the pawns. Everything that is going on in the Middle East was written about and planned decades ago.

Look at the history of the neoconservatives. Look into the Project for the New American Century (PNAC). PNAC published a document in the year leading up to 9/11, titled Rebuilding America's Defenses, which stated that for their agenda for the Middle East to be implemented and move forward, they would need some sort of event, like a "new Pearl Harbor" to get the people behind their agenda.

    Mine are fine.
I can go back as far back as the 90s.
He said decades which means atleast the eighties.
    1998; PNAC letter toBill Clinton.
But any further than that it becomes a little bit of a blur.
I wanted his perspective not one I could go find myself.
I don't fancy reading dozens of conflicting theories.
    I just want one.
    His.

If you want you can go back to 1979/1980, when the US funded the Mujahideen, supposedly against the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, though it was later admitted that this funding began six whole months before the Soviets even invaded. This was admitted by the man behind this funding of the Mujahideen, Zbigniew Brzezinski, who is now currently Obama's senior foreign policy advisor. The name al-Qaeda comes from a CIA database on Mujahideen fighters, and this was actually admitted by a man named Robin Cook, who is a former Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs in the UK.

Perhaps watch the BBC special 'The Power of Nightmares'. It is a multi-part special, but very good nonetheless. It pretty much exposes the al-Qaeda boogeyman myth for what it is.

    Our Sun goes Super Nova.
Our planet gets sucked into it's subsequent black hole.
Well I guess the world will end a few minutes after our sun goes Supernova
    End of story.

this world will be destroyed before our sun even has a chance to go nova, when it goes supergiant, we're fucking gone, and sol probably doesn't have the mass to supernova, it'll probably become a neutron star, as cool as that is, we won't have to worry about it, hell, the stones will not even have to worry about THAT.
