you draw some pretty sweet stuff you know that. you go to school for art? and i must say you are pretty lucky living in arcata. i have a friend who moved there about a year ago. only stayed for a few months then came back. he missed his friends and family. what he told me though it sounded like a nice place. peace, bob
thanks you guys your feedback means a lot to me. maurice, yeah i am really lucky to be living in arcata! nope, i'm not going to school for art.. although i have considered it. i just didnt think that i was good enough, but who knows. i'm majoring in wildlife biology because i love working with animals. ebene, i have never really thought about selling any of my stuff. actually, i never thought anyone would be interested in buying it. i am not against the idea, though. i love sharing my work with other people. maybe i could start making prints or something..
hahaha, noooo my dear lucy, i am not perfect but i think you are! hey whispers, i would.. but i pretty much suck at painting. i havent had much practice with it so it intimidates me. i would like to "branch out" into paint soon though.. except paint supplies + canvas + brushes = lots of money that i dont have right now.
I dig your style. It's really cool. How big is it? Is it just ink, or did you use any other materials? How long did it take you to finish it?
hey thanks therefore this one is 8 1/2 x 11. most of the ones i have posted here are that size.. cause they were photographed outta my sketchbook/journal thingie. i just recently bought a nice sketch pad that is 18" x 24". i am working on my first large-scale piece and im really excited. this one took me about hmm.. 2 hours i think. i didnt spend much time on it. this was done in black gel-ink pen. i did also use a little bit of colored pencil (white, orange, yellow, and a little brown). it usually takes me longer than that because i like to put in lotsa little details. plus i am always thinking of new things to add.
hmm wildlife bio. fun! i like that kind of stuff too. but yes keep drawing we all want to see more. peace, bob
i think you should make a whole bunch of different pics and send them all to me so i can say "yeah this groovy chicka did those and sent them to me, she's probably got more for sale if your interested" *hint*hint*
Great drawing, you have anymore of your stuff uploaded anywhere?? Also best of luck with the wildlife stuff it's great to see someone doing stuff that they really like, hopefully I'll figure out what I'd like to do someday!
thats cool babe, not my fave of your ones but still its wikkid You said paint canvas etc is expencive... do what i do use paper or random bits of cardboard or wood and scraps... then just get cheap kids paints (or splash out on nice acrylics) then finger paint and use kids paint brushes (cut them with sisors to get thin lines art the budget way and its FAR more fun, especially finger painting.
