I know its intended purpose is to gain the undecided voters, but does anyone else find it a little weird that McCain and Palin are running advertisements that point out how many times they've voted against Republicans? Its sort of like Groucho Marx's, "I wouldn't join a club that would have me as a member."

Never noticed this. I don't watch a lot of TV, and seldom am exposed to the USA campaign ads, but that's very critical thinking.

The idea I believe is to tip people off the fence and in hope draw some people that think Obama is too far to the left (former Hillary supporters).

Probably not a stupid move, as long as it does not alienate Republican supporters. I don't think they will have to worry about losing any Republican supporters when their alternative is Obama.
