Also it saves one having to get circumcised when fully grown which is infinitely more painful than near birth.

I have no opinion either way on this. I'll let Andy make this decision. He has a penis, so he prob has more of an opinion on this than me.

my son came out in one piece... i certainly wasn't going to willingly have a doctor go in and fix something that wasn't broken to begin with... he is whole... and i'm proud of my decision... if for whatever reason he decides he needs to be circumcised later in life, that's HIS choice, not mine...

 

My mum didn't want me to be circumcised because she thought it would hurt too much, which sounds very fair to me.

well, cleaning ears is a pain in the ass too, why don't we cut them off as well? they definitely don't need the outside of the ear to hear with, why not just git rid of that extra bit of skin?

it is NOT hard to clean an uncut penis. i've been a caregiver to both children and adults, and i've NEVER had a problem cleaning an uncut penis. you gotta give the kid at least a choice. if he becomes an adult and wants his penis cut up, then that's his right. as an infant though? seriously... it's a permanent procedure. and yes, i do know of men who are unhappy with the fact that they had their foreskin cut off. it's a violation.

the fact that anesthesia is not always used, and hasn't been used commonly especially in the past, is barbaric. no, the child may not remember it in the future, but what about the trauma at the time? an infant isn't going to remember it if you put your lit cigarette out on his skin, but it's still gonna scream when you do it. fuck, that just makes me so

 

My sons are intact. I did a lot of research before making my decision.
There is nothing weirdly sexual about washing your baby's genitals. Give me a break. If that is sexual then so is breastfeeding. You don't "clean a foreskin" anyway, it is fused to the glands at birth...
My kids wash their own penises. They have been taught proper hygiene. Case closed.

As for the "I'm cut, it's best" and the "I'm not cut, it's best" camps...of course you like your wiener the way it is. You don't know anything else. It's like trying to have an opinion on vaginas, since you don't know what it's like to have that either...

 

I am..but if I would of had a son..I would not have done it and if he wanted it later on, that would be his choice...I did my daughters and ear piercing the same way..I told them to wait until they were 12 , then they could make decision on whether they wanted to get their ears pierced..
