Has anyone read it yet? I'm going to order it right now.

i am about halfway through it, and its great. i couldnt pass it up after DMT THE SPIRIT MOLECULE changed my life.

back to the topic, this book is amazing i just completed reading it...have you ever read "The Cosmic Serpent: DNA and the origins of knowledge" by Jeremy Narby?

 

This is a very very good book. I highly recommend "Inner Paths to Outer Space".

Why I like Inner Paths is because it more closely focuses on ET encounters and makes the link between them and DMT. I've studied alien abductions for about 14 years prior to ever hearing the word DMT. Now after as much information as I can digest on DMT (with the exception of taking it first-hand, to be explained in a minute) I'd have to say there is a very strong link between DMT and ET encounters. If I had to venture toward a hypothesis I'd have to go with this:

As in Carlos Castaneda's books, Don Juan understood that there is an auric "reality band" that encircles the fattest part of the egg-shaped aura that is typically represented in metaphysics as an ethereal/astral version of the physical self. Picture a thread that surrounds the waist, kind of like a belt. Within this reality band is a focal point, which can be likened to a bead on the reality band, like on a string. According to Don Juan's teachings, the bead "tunes in" to a certain "place" on the reality band, like tuning into a specific frequency. Anyway, when we incarnate into the physical body on this particular planet, it generates the frequency that causes everyone's bead to settle in (or resonate) to the same frequency, which is how we share this collective 3D reality on earth will all of the other people on earth.

Don Juan trained Carlos Castaneda in the use of power plants that shifted his bead (and eventually taught him to do it without the use of plants), and hence shifted his reality, "tuning" him to other dimensions. Just as each plant is a portal that aligns our consciousness (i.e. - bead) to specific realities, so is DMT tuned to a gateway frequency representative of ET's of a reptilian (and sometimes mantis) nature.

With this said, and I know this doesn't constitute a form of evidence, I'd like to put myself out on a limb for ridicule to make a point. My wife and I have had non-drug induced experiences with ET reptilians. In fact we haven't had any experiences with them while on any psychedelic (then again I haven't actually done DMT and my wife has never done any psychedelic). One reptilian ET in particular is a spiritual guide for us, whom my wife has channeled on a number of occasions, and has given us the privilege of witnessing a craft on one occasion. From what I know, the reptilians have played a major role in human (and Earth's) development and have guided us for millennium. Since first contact I've been on a quest to learn more about the ET/spirit guide relationship, particularly reptilians, whom I now understand exist in another dimension overlaid on the earth (so in that sense they are not Extraterrestrials, they are Intraterrestrials).

At any rate, we lost contact about 10 years ago. Over the years I’ve often meditated on re-establishing contact. ==> Enter DMT, something I stumbled on just recently that brought me full circle back to my original quest. Synchronous, eh?

So I’ve been contemplating trying the DMT portal to attempt direct contact. But I don’t want it to be like a crutch for my lack of inner clarity and meditative effort, so to be honest I’m a little hesitant. Another stumbling block for me is using harsh chemicals to create the DMT, which doesn't seem too natural/healthy. Ayhuasca is an option, but I'm not too keen on A) puking (among other excrements), and B) the longer duration journey. So here I am, waiting for more pieces to fall into place to guide me one way or another without letting my “desire” sway me.

on the 'reality bead' analogy.. isnt that sort of like if a sound on a radio station (something existing within a physical 'realm' or 'channel') somehow changed the channel on your radio? I dont think this stuff ever happens. But people are very willing to accept the idea that something in this physical reality (eg a drug) could somehow 'tune' our brains into another reality. I would imagine the only thing that could do such a retuning would be something that existed beyond a 'channel' of reality, and was outside the radio, beyond teh channels themselves

 

I dont get into the whole bead thing, nor Don Jaun although Ive read several of his books as a teenager. But I will say that these are all different ways of broaching and expounding upon the tiny glimpse of the network that we have obviously had, and believe to be such a powerful glimpse, powerful enough to describe it, how it works, and give perscriptions to different means whereby we can get another tiny peak behind the veil.
This network is not composed of frequencies, frequencies are generated by the network as it works as a whole. The network itself is beyond any lofty mental tangibility, although it can most definitley be felt. But most of us get stuck looking at the pretty neon colours and the constantly on-play sound, which takes its root from what many call Om. Whatever Om is, it is definitley not two (or 3, depending on your school) letters, it is not a word, it is not a sound, and the only thing it is, is an utterance. But that is not to automatically imply that it is being uttered by a force which is aware. It is aware as a whole, naturally, we are isolated extentions of it. But wether or not it REALLY is an Overawareness, is not for us to say. You cant see it, you cant taste it, you cant even feel it with your body, it is a feeling of awareness as it is exposed fully.
I believe you can get this feeling from meditation, but only because I've actually gone far out of my way to practice and discipline myself in order to even being approaching the art. Meditation turns many off because it takes years before you master the shutting down process which leads to the void.
Reality beads, reptilian animal beasts, magic men who touch our soul by making contact via combusted chemicals etc are just stepping stones in my opinion. The goal should be the force generating this whole mess, but the problem is in how one learns to unlearn how to approach it, because the whole deal with consciousness may either have us as small copies of it, or it may be the greatest illusion, the maya, that which is not removeable unless one knows how to not know how to not remove it. Erm, something like that.

 

Or is simply, not removable

 

Of course there is that opinion as well.
Although I have done it, so that simply is not the case. At least not for everyone.

 

I don’t know, I just don’t buy that something is “outside” of anything else….seems nothing is “outside” of anything…to me anyway…

I think people focus too hard on the means to the end when dissecting things that are simply analogous to "the other"...it's too bad our linguistic tools used to describe something on channel 2 are limited to the vocabulary of channel 1.

Besides, it's not really a leap when the spectrum's range of possible wavelengths and frequencies are infinite (as far as we know). Even within the visible spectrum of light (which I certainly don't see our "experiences" being limited to), we only "see" less than 1%, while the other 99% remains consciously unexperienced. Maybe we just need to wake up to what's always there.
