i feel the same as some of you; apathetic. i don't buy the shit that "every vote counts." it obviously doesn't. i'm in ny state so if votes actually mattered (aka no electoral college) nyc would be making the decision.

i suppose if everyone with these feelings banded together we could get something done. but i'm sure that we all would NOT agree as to what to do. what to do? i have no idea. i like the idea of "none of the above" but i'm probably even too lazy to do that.

i guess i've got the feeling that my say really doesn't matter, so i might as well do nothing, as it will have the same effect as trying to do something.

I'd hope she would get assassinated, I had one member on here jump down my throat for saying political murder can be justified and a good thing a few weeks back but sometimes there's no other way to get rid of them when they're the ones holding up a capitalist dictatorship presented as democratic system and people buy the lie. The thing is, where does it end then? What's to stop someone killing the next person put in and the next one and the next one after that etc unless you have a totally (or vast majority) united country, not one split down the middle as you and we have currently, done on purpose may I add for that very reason- to keep the status quo and to ensure that we are always divided and never really acting in the interests of the nation as a whole.. If the country isn't united then revolution and assassantion only makes things more complicated until you're in a vicious tit for tat cycle of self interested people solving nothing and spilling blood. Centuries of history prove that.


It's a totally different climate out there in the states so I can only say what I see and read and not completely what I know or understand first hand. I've often spoken out against gun ownership as I feel it shouldn't really be necessary in a civilised society but can understand, respect and agree with your points about having to have firearms and would support your right to carry them. The only problem then is you have to have a universal rule and then the really dangerous fuckers with only the interests of a small minority also have them and you either have a stand off, kill or get killed. Like the crazy motherfucker in Bowling for Columbine who was matey with Tim McVeigh says "there's a lot of wackos out there" lol..

Until we can shift the consciousness of the greater populace and get rid of this dumbarse consumerist, media steered, I've got mine he's got his mentality we can never really progress anywhere. We need the banks to take harder hits and Joe Average to realise that money doesn't actually exist and you can't eat plasma screen TVs and gold for people to wake up a bit. Until then we're all fucked lol.

They're both shit and their game and rules are shit but the Dems are better in a lot of ways than than the Repubs, especially with some social policy and as far as progression goes etc..

Which ever way you look at it, 1 of 2 men is going to become the next president. I don't like either of the candidates, but I dislike McCain, a LOT more than Obama. If I could vote, I would vote AGAINST the worse person, in this case McCain.

Nope I think the Republican party has the most sound economic plan and that combined with McCain's experience will help this country. Obama is just too liberal for me, especially when we don't know much about him nor has he accomplished anything really being an Illinois senator. Also Obama promises change, but that is so fucking vague, I mean honestly what is he promising really?

 

My parents might be what you could call "bible thumpers" but they really like Sarah Palin. Honestly I don't think they would mind a woman president, if her values system was what they desire. I think Hillary would have had a better chance (as a woman) than Obama does being black.

I myself am not voting either. I don't feel secure in either choice. McCain is too old, too christian, and too war bent.
And I get bad vibes from Obama. He doesn't seem to be very friendly. I don't think he cares about the American people.
