This is very odd, i've had this like 8/10 times when i set my alarmclock, i don't use it often, only now and then when i want to get out early. Well, when i would set it for 7:00 am, i would often wake up at 6:59/58 , then realising, oh noes.. that darn thing is going off in a minute. (often ending up unplugging the plug and getting some more sleep). Its just weird, i know for myself that i'm not a deep sleeper, i often wake up several times a night. I was wondering if someone else encountered the same thing? Or if someone could explain the cause? Just kinda wondering about it.
i would suggest that your body has an internal clock that wakes you up at the same time everyday, but from the sounds of it you don't wake up at 7 every day so that doesn't really make sense. maybe your body just has a knack for keeping track of time subconsciously. sometimes i do the same thing, but usually not so close to the time or as frequent. like if i had to get up at 8, there's a fair chance i'll awake around 7-7:30.
yeah i dont know maybe because you start getting use to wake in up around that time happens to me too when i have the alram set too 8 or some time then all of sudden ill start waking up 15 or shorter minutes before my alarm goes off
Maybe, i really hate the sound my alarmclock makes, maybe subconsciously i try to wake up before that awfull sound goes off. No idea, but its still very odd.
me too. doesn't matter when i set the damn thing, i wake up generally 5-15 mins prior to my alarm nearly every time. Then there are those times when I lay down to sleep, close my eyes and my alarm goes off and it's morning already, sleep passing by in an instant
