Hi everyone. Thanks for the welcome Its lovely to meet you all. I hope i get to know you all better. Yorkshire is very pretty in parts, the dales are beautiful. Ive only lived here for 4 months though, i'm originally from sunny southern england in Devon. It's a shame i didn't find the forums sooner as it seems some of you were at the festivals i went to this summer.
'lo, I'm from West Yorkshire. Kind of 15 miles from Leeds. It's ok, except when the chavs set it on fire
Haha, Power that doesnt sound to disimilar from here, i live near catterick garrison....an army camp is always going to be a magnet for chavs with lighters. and lithium, i went to glasto this year and bestival. really wanted to go to shambala, but it was a pretty hectic month for me and just didnt get the time.....next year though!
Hello Helen, I'm Alex, I live in the flat plains of Cheshire, I lived in Huddersfield where I studied for a year, I loved it up there in Yorkshire, the landscape is well interesting and I found the real people (not the chav idiots) were really nice and accommodating. I've never been to a strangers house and been offered a bacon butty as soon as I've walked through the door anywhere else
Must be different round that way! So i've far i've found the grumpy yorkshireman stereotype to be rather apt. no offence intended to anyone from yorkshire. i miss sunny warmer devon though. ive heard cheshire is lovely though??? I made my first visit to york today though, it was brilliant. love that city now! thanks for saying hi though everyone, it's good to meet you all. Hope i will have fun here.
