"Crack" Pipe?

My friend's offering me a "crack" pipe for $20. I'm currently without a piece or any other way to get a piece and want to buy it, but how different is it from a normal metal pipe? I heard that it's just the same thing, but idk for sure. Is there any difference in the smoke than a standard metal pipe?

Money isn't the issue, it's obtaining the materials/pipe that's the issue. My parents hardly let me drive anywhere alone.

In my state I think that drug paraphernalia is the same no matter the drug. The question I thought I was implying was whether there was a difference between a crack pipe and a standard metal pipe, because the person who said that he'd sell it to me made it sound like a standard metal pipe that you'd find on a normal weed website. Like

Actually, I did more than imply, I directly ASKED that question. I don't make my own pipe because I want something permanent, not makeshift, and I'm not handy enough to do anything like that. I don't use the apple or aluminum pipe or the can pipe because I want something permanent.

I'd buy the 10 dollar pipe from Veroness if I had a way of getting it to my house that isn't mail, because otherwise my parents would see it.

The way the paraphernalia is seen is based off what it is being used for.
I'm pretty sure, either way, it is just an instrument of crime.
